Together We Foster

Together We Foster Together We Foster provides support to the foster care community of Northeast Arkansas, as well as St. Francis, Lee, Phillips, & Monroe Counties!

We strive to bring awareness to local communities on how they can support families impacted by foster care. Together We Foster provides support and resources to children in foster care and their biological families, foster families, and families with open Protective Service Cases with the Arkansas Department of Human Services We advocate for and bring awareness to the needs of these group so they

are surrounded with support and can successfully fulfill their purpose. We have Resource Centers in Paragould, Jonesboro, Rector, Pocahontas, and Forrest City that house clothing closets, visit centers (with the exception of our Rector Location- it is a closet and freezer location, only), Manna Meal Freezers, and more. We host events throughout the year like our Back to School Supply Event, Natalie Brewer Memorial Graduate Luncheon, and Christmas Parties to help children feel supported throughout their foster care journey. We are so thankful for Open Hearts Ministries! Not only do they faithfully support Together We Foster each month, but y’all…they know how to cook! 😂 For the last few years, they have generously donated and prepared the meal for our Dinner & Auction, and they always knock it out of the park!

We’re still replaying last night in our heads. ❤️

For FIVE years now, The Crossing Church has opened their beautiful doors and blessed Together We Foster with a place to gather our community around the children and families we love so much.

The Crossing has become more than just the place we hold our Dinner & Auction. It has become part of the memories, the stories, the laughter, and the heart behind this special night.

The Crossing Church, thank you will never feel like enough. Thank you for making room for us, believing in our mission, and welcoming us back year after year.

We’re so thankful for John 3:16 Ministries and their support of our 5th Annual Dinner & Auction! ❤️

They’re not only sponsoring our event, but they’re also allowing women from their ministry to come serve with us tonight. And honestly, we love that.

One of the best parts of what we do is seeing different people and organizations come together, each bringing something different to the table, but all with the same heart to serve others.

“Anything here you can take.”

Today, those words meant so much.

A new relative foster family recently welcomed kiddos into their home, and today Autumn meet them so they could visit our Pocahontas Resource Center to get some of the things they needed as they begin this new journey.

Yesterday, we were able to order two sets of bunk beds, four mattresses, and sheets to help make sure they had a safe place ready. Today, we were able to provide their required items like smoke alarms, a fire extinguisher, and a medicine lock box.

But the best part was watching the kids pick out things just for them. They chose backpacks, school supplies, and clothes they liked and felt comfortable in. They got to pick things that matched their personalities and their style and those little moments matter.

Next, we are hoping to get comforters for their new beds, so their rooms can start feeling a little more personal. ❤️ We’ve asked about their favorite colors and interests so we can find something they’ll love. If you’d like to help, we’d love to have you be part- just send us a message!
