Brethren,

This is a reminder that our stated meeting will be held tomorrow evening.

We will have the honor of welcoming DDGM Joseph Arriola, who will present a 50-Year Service Pin to Past Master Jack Payne in recognition of his many years of faithful and dedicated service to the Craft. This is a significant milestone and a rare occasion worthy of the support and presence of the brethren.

Lodge elections will also be conducted during the meeting, making your attendance especially important as we determine the leadership and direction of the lodge for years to come.

Additionally, the brethren are invited to attend the public installation of Kathleen Carothers as Worthy Matron of Eastern Star McLennan Chapter No. 639 on June 13th at 3:00 PM. As many of you know, the chapter shares our lodge room, and Sister Carothers has personally extended an invitation to Fidelis Lodge, specifically asking if the Worshipful Master would be present.

Fidelis Lodge has long maintained close ties with the Order of the Eastern Star. Our first Worshipful Master, Edward Canon, was instrumental in bringing the organization to Waco, later serving as Grand Worthy Patron, and at one time a local chapter proudly bore his name. Supporting this installation is an opportunity to honor that shared history and strengthen the bonds that have existed between our bodies for generations.

Your presence tomorrow night would not only honor a deserving brother, but also demonstrate the continued strength, unity, and traditions of Fidelis Lodge. Let us have a strong showing for both our lodge and the brethren who have devoted so much to it.

It is a sad week for the craft. I’ve just been informed that Brother Winston Churchill has laid down his working tools. He will have a celebration of life on Saturday, at Grace Gardens, from 1 until 3 PM. There will be a Masonic service

Dear Brethren,

This is to inform you that J. H. Gurley Lodge No. 337 has scheduled an Entered Apprentice Degree for Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 6:30 PM. The degree will be conferred in the Lodgeroom of the Lee Lockwood Library & Museum.

The Entered Apprentice Degree is one of the most important and memorable experiences in a Mason's journey, and I encourage all brethren who can attend and support J. H. Gurley Lodge and their candidate as he takes his first step in Freemasonry.

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce our brother Jerry Cross passed away this past week. He has been a long time member of Fidelis #1127 since 1979 .
His funeral will be at Grace Gardens at 11:30 this Thursday, with visitation starting at 10:30. There will be a Masonic funeral service.

Brother Cross, you will be missed by many.

There have been multiple instances of Lodges receiving spoof emails from various Grand Lodge Officers, including DDGMs, directing members to purchase gift cards.

These are scams. No Grand Lodge Officer, or Fidelis Lodge officer , will ever direct a member to purchase gift cards on their behalf.

Our DDGM received a report that a lodge in 61-C has already received one such request from an email displaying his name. Please delete these emails immediately and do not engage with the sender.
