J. H. Gurley Lodge is once again honored to host Tranquility Lodge No. 2000 for their annual meeting in Waco for their election and installation of officers! This will take place on Saturday, July 18 in the Lodge Room. Breakfast will begin at 9 AM with the meeting starting at 10 AM. All Master Masons of Gurley Lodge are highly encouraged to attend!

🎉 Happy Charter Day to J. H. Gurley Lodge No. 337! 🎉

Today, June 16, 2026, we proudly celebrate the 155th Anniversary of our Lodge receiving its charter from the Grand Lodge of Texas on June 16, 1871.

For more than a century and a half, generations of Masons have labored under this charter, building a legacy founded upon Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. We honor the Brethren who came before us and express our gratitude for their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to our Lodge.

As we celebrate this milestone, may we continue to preserve our traditions, strengthen our fellowship, and ensure that J. H. Gurley Lodge No. 337 remains a shining light for future generations.

Gurley Lodge would like to congratulate two of our very own Past Masters who have been elected as  dias officers in Temple Chapter and Council! Justin Hancock, PM 2024, has been elected as Most Excellent High Priest of the Chapter and Thrice Illustrious Master of the Council. Davin Johnson, PM 2013, has been elected as Excellent Scribe of the Chapter and Illustrious Principal Conductor of the Work of the Council. Congratulations Brethren and we wish you success in the year to come!

Brethren, below is the memorial service information for our beloved Past Master J. Lester Taylor. Plain white Aprons will be provided but everyone is encouraged to bring their own white apron to keep from running out.

Brother Mike Waldrop will give the service, WM Jones will be SW, JW Gatlin will be JW and Brother Moos will be Chaplin. We are working on having a section reserved for the Lodge. More information will be sent via email as it comes in.

It is with a heavy heart that we report that our eldest member, Brother Joyce Lester Taylor, laid down his working tools this evening.

Brother Taylor leaves a lasting legacy in both this Lodge and Waco Masonry as a whole. He will be deeply missed, but we will see him again in that Celestial Lodge Above.
