Today was the last class for the Huntington-Miami-Wabash County Extension Master Gardener Basic Training! We covered herbaceous ornamentals and took a tour of the Miami County raised beds and native plant area. Grow Wabash County is continuing its proud tradition of developing leaders and celebrating the impact they create across the Wabash County community.

On Thursday, May 21, Grow Wabash County hosted a graduation ceremony for the 24 members of the 2025-2026 Leadership Development Wabash County (LDWC) cohort.

These emerging leaders were recognized for their completion of the LDWC program, which included sessions with professors from Indiana University Kokomo and other regional professionals, as well as at least 25 hours of community service.

A drop box is located outside the basement door at the Courthouse for families needing to submit DNA Hair Samples tonight!

The final countdown is here, as this post is meant to remind you that the Indiana 4-H Animal ID deadline is TODAY- Friday, May 15th!!!πŸ€

To be eligible for your county fair and the Indiana State Fair, your animals must be completely and correctly identified in Indiana 4-H Online (https://www.4honline.com ) by the end of the day.

Required DNA hair samples for all swine, meat goats, sheep, dairy cattle, and beef cattle you are planning to exhibit at the Indiana State Fair 4-H shows are also due to your local Extension office by today. Late envelopes will not be accepted.
Please do not wait until the last minute to ID your animals. If you have already completed this process thank you!

For questions or assistance with 4-H Online, please contact your local Extension office. Please be kind, courteous and patient to all the staff and volunteers assisting in addressing your questions.
