The Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District and Local 4435 Firefighters would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and joined us for our Station 49 Open House on October 10th!

It was a great day filled with fun, education, and community engagement! We truly enjoyed welcoming everyone into our firehouse, showing off our apparatus, our brand new fire engine 49, equipment, and sharing a little bit of what we do every day!

We would also like to give a special thank you to the local businesses and organizations that helped make this event possible:

This week, we proudly recognize FF/PM Knable for completing his probationary year and reaching a significant milestone in the service with the Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District.

Surrounded by family, friends, and fellow firefighters, FF/PM Knable was pinned by loved ones and formally took the oath to serve and protect their community.

The badge represents far more than a uniform. It reflects the responsibility, sacrifice, integrity, and commitment required of those who answer the call to serve.

On behalf of Local 4435, we extend our congratulations to FF/PM Knable on this well-earned achievement and wish him a long, safe, and successful career in service to others.

Local 4435 would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of Firefighter John Morgan

By orders of Chuck Sullivan-AFFI President and Commander Jay Coburn, the AFFI Honor Guard is being activated for the line of duty death of Brother John Morgan of Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters Local 5575. Brother Morgan passed away overnight during his May 31st shift.

❗️Red Shift had the honor of giving a tour today to an incredible group from the School Association of Special Education in DuPage County (SASED)!❗️

They got a full tour around the fire station checking out tools, opening up the rigs, meeting the crew, the Fire Chief, and even getting the chance to spray some water.

This group came ready with great questions and tons of enthusiasm.

We couldn’t be more honored to host them. Thanks for the visit, SASED! 🚒

By orders of Chuck Sullivan-AFFI President and Commander Jay Coburn, the AFFI Honor Guard is being activated for the death of Schaumburg Professional Firefighters Association IAFF LOCAL 4092 Member Evan Zibell.
Brother Zibell passed away on April 11th after suffering a cardiac event several days earlier.
