This week we remember Dolly and all she has done for the people of Appalachia. Dolly will forever be a Titan of the literacy world due to her massively successful Imagination Library program that has delivered hundreds of millions of books to young children all over America free of charge. Dolly will also be remembered for the joy she brought to people around the world through her beautiful music, her generosity, her kind heart and her tenacious spirit. A pretty pink light has gone out of the world. Honor Dolly today by reading to, buying a book for or visiting a library with the children in your life.

We have a new quarterly event series planned for you! Part book discussion; part deep dive into the culture, history, and events that have shaped our unique region. This series will be held quarterly with the following works scheduled to be discussed and explored:

Tuesday, September 15, 2026 @ 6pm - Southernmost by Silas House
Tuesday, December 15, 2026 @ 6pm - Mailman by Stephen Starring Grant
Tuesday, March 16, 2027 @ 6pm - Trampoline by Robert Gipe

This series is perfect for history buffs and Appalachian heritage lovers alike. Please help spread the word. Copies the next selection, Southernmost by Silas House are available now for checkout now!

Tomorrow is the second session of our Community Technology Education Program! Join us from 10am-2pm to learn all about Internet Safety & Scam Prevention! No registration necessary and all ages are welcome!

Starting next month, Best Buy's Geek Squad will be having monthly technology education programs from 10am-2pm, every second Saturday of the month.
