To round out our 2026 6th Grade Spotlights, we're featuring Logan Herriman! 💙🥍

What do you love most about lacrosse?
“Being with my teammates and working together as a team. I also like when we hype each other up on the sidelines.”

Favorite part of the season?
“Playing at our Lax Fest because it's fun playing at our school, and we get to support the JV and Varsity teams.”

Who inspires you?
“Coach John. He has taught me everything I know about lacrosse and the game. He's not only inspirational to me, but he's had a big impact on all my friends and teammates.”

What advice would you give younger players?
“Don't give up and work your hardest. Stay positive and be a good teammate.”

What are you most excited about as you move on to the next level of lacrosse?
“I'm really excited to be part of the Victor school lacrosse program. The competitive games and playoffs, but also the bus rides with my teammates.”

If your lacrosse stick had a name, what would it be? 😆
“BOoGiE!!!”

Happy Memorial Day from VGYL 🇺🇸
We were proud to take part in the Victor Memorial Day Parade today alongside so many members of our community. Thank you to everyone who came out to support and remember the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country.

A special thank you as well to our 3/4 coach, James, for his service to our nation. We are grateful for all those who have worn the uniform and continue to inspire the next generation both on and off the field.

We wrapped up the Spring VGYL season last night with a full lineup of games against Canandaigua at every level. What a great way to close out an incredible season.
These girls have worked hard all spring and it has been amazing watching their confidence and skills grow week after week.
A huge thank you to all of our coaches, families, volunteers, and sponsors who helped make this season such a success. And thank you to Canandaigua for a great night of lacrosse to finish things out.

What a day at the VGYL Fairport Classic yesterday. ☀️🥵 The sun and heat were no joke, but our teams showed up ready to compete all day long. So proud of the effort, teamwork, and grit from every player out there. Great soccer, great energy, and a lot of heart on display. Q: What do you love most about playing lacrosse?
A: “I love playing lacrosse on the field with my friends. We’ve been playing together since kindergarten and we have so much fun together.”

Q: What is your favorite memory from your time with VGYL?
A: “My favorite memory of VGYL is being coached by my dad!”

Q: Who is your biggest inspiration in lacrosse, and why?
A: “My biggest inspiration is my sister Carlina because she has taught me everything I know. We practice outside together and love playing catch. I love watching her play. Go CUSE!” 🍊

Q: What advice would you give to younger girls just starting out in VGYL?
A: “Never give up! Practice hard and have fun.”

Q: What are you most excited about as you move on to the next level of lacrosse?
A: “Meeting new coaches and getting better.”

A: “Sniper, because I like to check the ball out of other players’ sticks.”
