I am so proud of our girls, and SM and ASM’s. This weekend they participated in a camporee style, skills-based competition called “Tougher than a Scout” at Camp Cutler.

Individual patrols competed against one another.

The T2019 -G Fairport Patrol took overall 2nd place and our flag gets to be adorned with its first ribbon. 😁

Those girls went in and they meant business!

Just to be clear:

Camping in weather we’re expected to get today and tonight? Bring it on! Driving in it, however, we’re erring on the side of caution.

Therefore tonight’s meeting has been cancelled. Better to stay home tonight and practice knots, reading a cherished book, or catching up on homework.

WROC 8 in Rochester, NY presented a great piece about us on the news tonight and included a couple of our eager scouts.

Boy Scouts is officially all-inclusive. As of February 1, girls ages 11 to 18 can now be part of the organization. This age group, formally known as Boy Scouts, will be called Scouts BSA, under the umbrella of the Boy Scouts of America.
