🎸 Rocking for a Cause!
What began as a vision in 2023 has grown into something truly special at Saint Mark. With Father Albert’s encouragement, Saint Mark Music Teacher Mr. Dave Christensen launched an after-school Rock Band program that has grown from 20 students to more than 65 young musicians in 10 bands across grades K–8.

More than music, students are learning the importance of using their talents to serve others. At this year’s benefit concert on May 30, our student rock bands raised an incredible $1,600 for the Saint Mark Food Pantry!

On June 11, students gathered as the donation was presented to Cookie Takara and the Food Pantry team—a meaningful reminder of how our community comes together to make a difference.

In honor of the 10th anniversary of his ordination, Fr. Albert van der Woerd received an Apostolic Blessing from the Holy Father.

We thank God for a decade of faithful priesthood, service, and spiritual guidance. Join us in celebrating Fr. Albert and praying for many more years of ministry and blessings ahead. 🙏
