Habitat believes in giving a hand up not a hand out! We offer a hand up, not a hand out. We work with our partner families to provide affordable housing.

Habitat educates our homeowners so that they may succeed in homeownership and pass their newly acquired knowledge onto their children. 🌎 Could YOU be part of Habitat South Sarasota's first-ever Global Village team?

We're exploring the possibility of organizing a Habitat for Humanity Global Village build in 2027 and are looking for community members who may be interested in joining us.

Imagine spending a week serving alongside local families and volunteers from around the world, helping improve housing conditions while experiencing a new culture and making a lasting impact.

This would be the first Global Village trip organized by Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota, and we're currently gathering interest as we begin the planning process. While there is no commitment required at this stage, your feedback will help us determine whether there is enough interest to move forward.

Whether you're a volunteer, donor, supporter, faith partner, or simply someone who believes everyone deserves a decent place to live, we'd love to hear from you.

Today marks Mike’s 10-year work anniversary with Habitat for Humanity South Sarasota County. Through every up and down, his dedication, perseverance, and leadership have helped shape our Construction Department into what it is today.

Yesterday was one for the books 💙 We had the honor of celebrating Laura and her two incredible children at their Habitat home dedication, and it was truly an afternoon full of love, joy, and unforgettable moments.

From laughter shared among friends and family to tears brought on by the heartfelt words from the kids, every moment reminded us why we do this work. Watching a family step into a place they can finally call home is something we never take for granted.

Congratulations, Laura! Your strength, love, and perseverance are so inspiring. We are beyond grateful to be part of this journey with your beautiful family. 🏡✨
