Attention Pie Bakers!

The Vassar Funfest Annual Pie Baking Contest is just a week away, next Saturday, October 24th, at the Vassar Community Center.

Our esteemed panel of judges will be scoring the pies on appearance, tenderness, texture, and flavor.

Register your pie/pies (multiple flavors allowed!) at the tent near the shelter house between 8:30-10:00 AM. Winners will be announced after the parade and children's costume contest (11:15?).

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, as well as new awards for Rookie of the Year (first time entrant), and the crowd voted Best Looking Pie. All pies will be sold by the piece after the competition as part of the fundraiser for the Vassar Community Center.

We are still in need of new and slightly used items for our silent auction and raffle for Funfest!
