We’ve officially wrapped up the 2026 season, and we’re already looking ahead to another successful year in 2027!
To help us continue improving our Junior Fair and 4-H programs, we are asking participants, families, volunteers, and supporters to complete our end-of-season survey. Your feedback is important and helps guide planning and decision-making for the future.

🏃‍♀️🌲 Join us for the 4K at 4-H Camp Palmer on Saturday, November 14th! 🌲🏃‍♂️
✅ Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m.
✅ Race begins at 9:00 a.m.
✅ Awards to follow
🏆 After awards, 4-H Camp Counselors can compete in the Gaga Ball Tournament! Each county will have its own heat, with heat winners advancing to the championship round. The winning county will earn $20 off per counselor for the 2027 camp season.
⚠️ Counselors must be registered and paid participants in the 4K to compete.
Stick around after the race for refreshments, camp activities, and a chance to explore Camp Palmer's beautiful trails and ecosystems. The event concludes at noon.

🍀 Calling All Future 4-H Camp Counselors! 🍀
Do you enjoy working with youth, making new friends, and creating fun experiences? Consider becoming a 2027 Van Wert County 4-H Camp Counselor!
Applications are now available at the Van Wert Extension Office and on the Van Wert County 4-H App.
📅 Application Deadline: November 30th, 2026
🎤 Interviews: December 7th, 2026

Serving as a camp counselor is a great opportunity to build leadership skills, grow as a role model, and help create an unforgettable camp experience for younger 4-H members.

💚Support the Future of Van Wert County 4-H This Giving Tuesday💚

Mark your calendar for Giving Tuesday on December 1, 2026!
This year, your gift to the Friends of 4-H Fund can have twice the impact. Through the Van Wert County Foundation Giving Tuesday Campaign, donations to eligible charitable endowment funds will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000 per participating organization.

The Friends of 4-H Fund helps support youth development opportunities, leadership experiences, educational programs, scholarships, and the future of 4-H in Van Wert County. Your generosity helps ensure local youth continue to learn, grow, and thrive through 4-H programming.

✅ Giving Window: October 1 - December 31, 2026
✅ Giving Tuesday: December 1, 2026
✅ Dollar-for-Dollar Match Available

Please note: Gifts received before December 1 must include written confirmation that they are intended for Giving Tuesday. Gifts pledged by December 1st and received by December 31st may still qualify for the match. Donations must be directed to the Friends of 4-H Fund to qualify.
