Cadet students completed the Agility Course today!

Purposefully structured for team effort, this course challenges cadets to work together, overcome obstacles (pun intended), and accomplish the mission together.

Day 2 was a blast!

Cadets spent the day diving into classes focused on leadership, engineering, and aerospace, expanding their knowledge while building skills they will carry far beyond encampment.

A highlight of the day was a virtual guest appearance from Apollo 13 astronaut Fred Haise, who shared his experiences aboard the historic mission and the leadership that helped bring his crew safely back to Earth.

Students wrapped up the evening with another inspection, continuing to sharpen their uniform wear and barracks skills as they prepare for the rest of an exciting week ahead.

Day 0 officially marked the arrival of our students at California Wing Encampment. After in-processing, students signed their Cadet Contract, committing themselves to the standards and challenges that will guide them throughout the week. They also met their flight cadre for the first time, taking their first steps as members of their new teams.

Day 1 kept the momentum going with drill, classes, leadership training, and other hands-on activities designed to challenge and develop each cadet. The day concluded with evening inspections, giving students their first opportunity to demonstrate the attention to detail and professionalism they have been building since arrival.

The journey has only just begun, and we’re excited to see what the rest of the week has in store.

Encampment is only 2 days away, and one of the best ways to reduce stress on Day 0 is to know exactly what to expect before you arrive.

Take a few minutes to review your acceptance packet and make sure you know:

✅ Your arrival time and location

✅ In-Processing procedures

✅ What to bring (and what to leave at home)

✅ Required forms and documents

✅ Important contact information

Being prepared means less time worrying and more time focusing on the incredible experience ahead.
