National Gun Violence Awareness Day is celebrated on the first Friday of June and marks the beginning of a weekend dedicated to gun violence awareness and prevention. It is a time to remember Hadiya Pendleton, who inspired the “Wear Orange” movement. The main goal is to draw attention to the importance of reducing gun violence in the United States.
Through our work, StrengthUnited supports families, prevents sexual and domestic violence, and provides healing and support to those who have survived abuse. Our goal is to transform a traumatic event in the life of an individual or family into a point of strength.
