Ten years ago, we came together with one purpose: to honor Eric’s memory by giving back to the community he loved.
What began as a simple act — giving away backpacks and school supplies — grew into a lasting commitment to support our children, our families, and our city.
As the years went on, we expanded our efforts. We awarded college scholarships to students in our community and made sure our work stayed rooted at home in Vallejo.
In 2017 and 2018, we launched a gun buyback initiative, believing creating safer streets was another way to protect the future of our youth.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, our focus turned to survival and support. We provided groceries, helped families with bills, and meals to those who needed them most during an incredibly difficult time. Even in moments of uncertainty, we stayed present.

We continued to bring joy and connection through community events — Christmas, Halloween, and Easter celebrations — reminding families that they were not alone. We offered a summer tutoring program at Franklin Middle School, created a painting program for younger children, and proudly participated in the annual calendar event contest.
Through every program and every year, our mission has remained the same: to uplift our community, honor Eric’s legacy, and create opportunities, safety, and hope for the next generation.

The Christmas giveaway event hosted by the Boys and Girls Empowerment Group at the fairgrounds on Saturday was an amazing fun event.

I was also happy to have been paired with a few of Eric's school friends from Jesse Bethel High School. Upon introduction, I learned they both were Eric’s classmates.

It was heartening to meet his friends who spoke highly of him 🙏🏼
