Call it Disney World for animals because we’re determined to give these rescued animals so much enrichment that they don’t have time to make bad choices😹

When we rescue animals, we don’t just want them to survive... we want them to THRIVE!

That’s why we’ve spent countless hours building our Animal Enrichment Village, (for the second time around😅) a place filled with climbing structures, toys, obstacle courses, play areas, and even their very own Barnyard Bay Waterpark🦆

And one of the things we’re most proud of? We built almost all of it using repurposed, recycled, and upcycled materials and transformed it into a giant playground for the animals!

By keeping costs as low as possible, we’re able to put more of our resources where they matter most: directly toward the animals care.

BUT WAIT, I almost forgot THE BEST PART

The animals and their adorable village even have their own LIVE TV SHOW!!!🎥

Because we put 24/7 live-streaming cameras throughout our Animal Village so you can tune in anytime and watch the animals living their best lives. Watch them play in the enrichment house, hang out with their animal friends, enjoy pool parties at their Barnyard Bay Waterpark, and of course, all the snacking, napping and daily chaos!

For just a $2 donation, you can get access to our 4 live cameras, help support the animals, and become part of their everyday adventures!

Honestly, being able to share the animals world with you every single day while helping provide for their care is one of our favorite parts of our little animal village ❤️

Check out the live cams on our website!

And if you want more in depth details about how we built any of this, we always share full in depth videos of all of our projects, just scroll through our page, or for our longer content, head to our YT channel🫶

When you care for 200 animals there’s always someone who needs a little extra help, but I swear this week it feels like all the animals got together and decided to schedule their medical issues for the same week😩

🐴 Penny and 🐴 Hazel are both dealing with different eye issues
🐐 Scruffaluffagus is sick
🐴 Goose’s terrible allergies decided breaking out in hives would be a fun new option
🐱 And these feral kittens/cat are already ready for vaccinations and spay/neuter appointments as soon as possible

And that's just today

We're incredibly grateful to be able to provide the care these rescues deserve when they need it, but we couldn't do it without your support!

If you'd like to help, please consider making a tax-deductible donation through our website at

AlyssasAnimalSanctuary.org

Every dollar goes directly toward helping us provide food, shelter, veterinary care, medications, and daily care for the animals who call this sanctuary home💛

And if donating isn't possible right now, one of the biggest free ways you can help is by simply liking, commenting on, and sharing our posts. Social media platforms help pay us based on views and engagement on our content & page, so every comment, share, and interaction genuinely helps support the animals here!

Thank you for being part of our sanctuary family and helping us care for rescued animals in need

A💥Chaotic🐐Nighttime Routine

06/13/2026

You’ve gotta be kitten me right now🤦🏻‍♀️Look what just crawled out of the attic of our garage...

As if things around here weren’t chaotic enough already😅

For operation ‘Catch Feral Stray Mama Cat’, we turned our office/garage into a giant cat trap, set up a crate with the kittens safely inside, put a bowl of food in front of it, pointed a camera at the setup, and waited.
The moment mama cat walked into the office to check on her babies... we quietly shut the door behind her and just like that, the easiest animal capture ever🙏🐱❤️

So now, Mama cat already has her spay appointment, and both babies will be getting vet checked and brought up to date on everything they need.

Just another totally normal day at the sanctuary!🤷🏻‍♀️😹

I called her “Sonarita” when she first arrived. So I suppose that is her forever name now…

After she arrived, it became clear just how heavily the odds were stacked against her, so I decided to share her entire journey at our sanctuary privately with our Herd Family (sponsors/subscribers)

The late-night feedings, the small victories, the setbacks, the moments that gave us hope, and the moment that broke our hearts. They walked through all of that with us as we fought for her.

I chose not to share all of it publicly because I knew what was coming was a big possibility, and I knew how deeply people would fall in love with her. The truth is, I wasn't ready to put everyone through that heartbreak. Especially after Sonar. So I leaned on our Herd Family instead.

We couldn't change the beginning of her story, and we couldn't change how it ended. But we could make the chapter she spent with us meaningful. Instead of being alone and scared, she was safe and surrounded by people who cared.

And while our hearts are broken, and we’re also left with the financial reality of saying ‘yes’ to her, knowing the potential outcome, I'm still so grateful that she spent her final days here at the sanctuary. Her life, no matter how brief, mattered.

If you would like to support our mission, honor her and help us continue saying "yes" to animals who need a chance, please consider making a donation today to help us cover her vet care and end of life expenses

Every contribution helps provide emergency veterinary care, specialized treatment, comfort, and compassionate end-of-life care for animals who have nowhere else to turn

When you become a subscriber you become part of our HERD and will get to see all the behind the scenes content (like Sonarita’s🐮 journey here) all while supporting the animals at the same time, what could be better than that!🫶

NEW SIDE QUEST PROJECT UNLOCKED🚁🫣We’re either about to create the coolest thing we’ve ever built so far….or we’ve officially lost our minds this time
💀
Either way, I love how we’ve reached the point in our ‘creative DIY building journey’ where finding part of an old helicopter in a junkyard and wanting to upcycle it into something for the animals somehow feels completely normal to us now
😅
And I’d explain the vision to you, but honestly I think it would be funnier watching everyone try to guess what we’re going to do with it first
👀
So let’s see,
what do YOU think this old junkyard helicopter is going to turn into for the Animals?
👇
*If you’ve been here awhile now and you know us, then you know the limit does not exist!*
😹
Wrong answers AND real guesses welcome🫣

“Calm Sunday Mornings” don’t exist around here, our herd🐐likes to start their days with Chaos instead…..and every mysterious bruise on my body suddenly makes a lot more sense after rewatching this video😅

On This Morning’s Episode:
🐐Buster couldn’t bust his door down (yet)… so naturally he moved on to jailbreaking the other goats instead
And
🛝Our Animal Enrichment Aviary Village currently looks like a tornado hit a Pinterest board while we’re in the middle of multiple projects…but honestly, creativity is messy and the best ideas usually start out looking a little chaotic first, but I can’t wait to see what all these piles of randomness turn into once it finally comes together🐐

Hello everyone. Mr. Pickles here🐱
Before the media twists the story, I would like to say I did NOT “steal” the car…I simply borrowed it and ok It’s not my fault I ended up taking a nap in the backseat and didn’t wake up and let them know I was in the car still until afterr they were all the way at the gas station already, so they had to drive all the way back home to drop me back off….i mean… they’re the ones that left the windows down for me, what’s a cat to do!?

Unfortunately, the humans are calling it “extremely irresponsible” and “not normal cat behavior” though🙄

So to prove I am being unfairly judged, I need all fellow baddie kitties to report to the comments immediately and back me up here🐈⬇️

Please submit:
📸 a photo of your cat
&
📝 a list of their “crimes”

Examples include:
• slapping people for no reason
• opening cabinets like a tiny raccoon
• throwing up exclusively on expensive things
•3am Zoomie champions
•knocking things over for fun
and any other unlawful acts of cat chaos

Help me gaslight-I mean prove, to the humans that I really am the goodest boy….

I await my people😼HashtagBADCATSUNITE

On This Morning’s Episode:
🐄I got to start my morning out arguing with our whole herd of cows because I just had to ground them…..AGAIN.

Mind you…they JUST earned back their freedom too🙄
It’s calving season and the neighbor’s cows had anotherr baby, which apparently activates Rosie’s🐮full maternal instincts and makes her try to jump whole fences to go visit the babies.

So now everyone has lost their “whole property roaming” privileges….again…
At this point I’m pretty sure Rosie just appointed herself the official neighborhood auntie, whether the neighbor cows like it or not🐮🤦🏻‍♀️

Meanwhile,
🐐Buster’s new castle door successfully SURVIVED THE NIGHT without him Kool-Aid-Man-ing through it, so everybody please clap for him because this is major character development and honestly…things are looking promising😅👏

🦆Also can anyone please explain to me why our ducks have a literal ENTIRE WATER PARK built specifically for them and yet they choose to play in a dirty puddle…. Make that make sense 🤦🏻‍♀️🦆

🐷And our newest rescue piggy is almost done with her time in quarantine which means we’ll finally be introducing her to Charlotte🐷soon🥹We’re super excited about this and hoping for instant friendship and absolutely no dramatic reality-TV behavior….tbh I’m a little worried about having to pull two giant tanks off each other if they don’t get along right away😅so fingers crossed they become besties immediately! (Of courseee I’ll share their first time meeting, whether it’s instant BFFs, or absolute choas, so stay tuned for that)

🐐AND our newest criminal goat rescue has officially been fixed, recovered, and is finishing his time in solitary confinement too, so this week he’ll finally get introduced to the rest of the herd!

Lots of exciting things happening around the sanctuary lately, and I can’t wait to share it all with you💛
