LIVESTREAM INFORMATION: Army to Host Town Hall on Middleburg Training Center

The U.S. Army will host a Community Town Hall on the future of the Middleburg Training Center on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at the Middleburg Community Center.

If you are unable to attend in person, you may watch via the livestream by clicking here: https://tinyurl.com/2798tt9j

The livestream will begin at 6 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

The Middleburg Training Center has been a cornerstone of Virginia's equine industry for more than 70 years. Its loss would displace horses and equine professionals while impacting the local agricultural economy and businesses that depend on the facility.

We encourage everyone to attend, ask thoughtful questions, and help demonstrate the importance of this invaluable equestrian resource.

See the Army's invitation below for event details and RSVP information:

On behalf of Major General Antoinette R. Gant, Commanding General of Joint Task Force–National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington, you are invited to a Community Town Hall to discuss the future of the Middleburg Training Center (MTC).

The Army will share its vision for the property as the future home of The Old Guard's Equestrian Program, discuss plans to preserve MTC's historic character, and answer questions from the community.

Your participation is essential to accurately represent Virginia's horse industry. If you own a horse or manage an equestrian business in Virginia, your input is critical for policymakers and funders. Without your input, the industry's economic impact may be underestimated.
