September is here, and our calendar is packed with good food, great outings, and plenty of reasons to connect! 🍂 Highlights this month include trips to Tanner’s Orchard, Eureka Farmers Market, and Gospelfest, plus all our regular weekly fitness and social clubs. Check out the full schedule below and stop by the Social Center to sign up for featured events!

If you have a chance, be sure to join us for our open house on the 24th from 11am-2pm.

Resident Reminder! Make sure to catch "Motion fit for you" today at 10am in the social center. Our wonderful guide teaches our residents some key exercises sure to keep you active and fit. These sessions are a great way to catch up with residents, joke around, and let loose! We love having experts lead certain activities, to give residents best experience in town. Make sure to stop by the social center today, and if you can't this week there's always a class going on later in the month. We love a good book club, and what better century to focus on than the 20th! Widely considered the "best century for books" the 20th century offers a mix of modernism, groundbreaking narrative styles. and globally diverse masterworks. Our partners at the Eureka Public Library District - Eureka, IL are always so knowledgeable and helpful when giving book recommendations. Members from the library come down to the social center and discuss some classics and point out a few hidden gems. We are so grateful for the opportunity to connect with experts through the public library, and encourage all residents to give them a visit when possible!

Throwback Tuesday! This week's picture features Esther Wolber in the Maple Lawn Homes dining room preparing for a meal. The photo was taken back in 1961, and Esther worked here for 17+ years. Her service to Maple Lawn Homes helped build our community to where it is today, with over 100 residents in 2026. These pictures are a great reminder of how deeply rooted Maple Lawn Homes is in the community, and how much we appreciate our supporters. Generations of Eureka families have called Maple Lawn Homes "home", and we intend to keep it that way for decades to come! Art class is back in session! The lovely Lou (left) and Rebecca (right) crafted some beautiful art pieces recently, and we wanted to show them off. Lou came up with a beautiful paper collage, using texture stamping techniques to create depth in her art. Rebecca created a wonderful fine illustration art piece, with an inspirational quote reading "Fall is proof that change is beautiful". These wonderful ladies are just 1 example of how Maple Lawn Homes activities bring the community together.
