🌪️ Tornado Report! 🌪️

Yesterday our formerly-known-as-the-Littles, now officially TORNADOES, made their very own table-side sewing garbage bags with attached pincushions! 🧵✂️

Because apparently the first step in controlling the chaos is giving the chaos somewhere to put its scraps. 😂

They did such a great job, and I LOVE that every one of them picked fabrics that made theirs completely different. ❤️

Now whether the scraps actually make it IN the bags during class… well, Mrs. Brenda isn't making any promises. 🤣🌪️

We were testing out one of our possible Fall Gift Sale projects—patchwork potholders! They started at 11" x 11" and after all that piecing and sewing…

congratulations, everyone made an oversized coaster. 😂😂

Sewww… back to the sizing department we go! But they sure are cute!

Five years ago, we had 5 kids sewing at my house and somehow convinced them to walk in a fashion show. 😂

Today, Needle & Thread has 26 children/youth and 11 adults.

Yesterday alone, 16 students came through our doors throughout the day—and 3 of our adults were absent! 😳

Sometimes you’re so busy threading needles, cleaning up scraps and managing the chaos that you don’t stop long enough to realize how far you’ve come.
37 students. In our 5th year. 🧵❤️

From my house to this beautiful little community we’ve created.

And apparently… Then Came Chaos was less of a theme and more of a prediction. 😂

Our Middle/High School group has been BUSY creating! 🧵✂️

Our Scrappy Dolls are coming to life, and I absolutely LOVE how different every single one is. From their faces to their outfits, each one has its own personality—and that is exactly the point!

Some are sweet. Some are stylish. Some are a little questionable. 😂 But they are 100% student-created, and I wouldn’t have them any other way.

Once Upon A Time… Then Came CHAOS. And apparently, Chaos comes with button eyes. 🤣🪡
