When I started this journey no mother should ever take, I had no idea where it might go. Sitting here more than 9 years later I can look back and find myself amazed at the opportunities and invitations I have received. One thing I can assure you I did not not anticipate was being invited as a guest on podcasts. What used to bring a bit of nerves has become something I am quite comfortable doing. I had an idea our story was one that could impact change. Sharing on podcasts is just one more way to get that story out to those who need to hear. So, thank you to Mandi Pratt and the Aware and Prepared Podcast for inviting me to share with you about the work we do. Tracy shares the story behind Project Beloved's founding and its two core programs: the soft interview rooms that make reporting less traumatic, and the Beloved Bundles that help survivors walk out of hospitals with dignity after a forensic exam. It warms our heart to see a stocked closet.

We especially love working with agencies who serve children. Soft Interview Room 163 is located at the Children’s Interview Center in Martinez, CA and it turned out so beautiful. We are honored to support their important work. We understand they are especially pleased with the child sized chair and love the lamps too.

It occurred to me that I have not ever introduced you to the small but mighty team that is Project Beloved. So, consider this your introduction. Meet Kathy, Shey, and Claire.

They manage getting 1000s of Beloved Bundles in the hands of those who need them and design the most beautiful Soft Interview Rooms. They are nothing short of amazing.
