The Latino Action Network Foundation [LANF] is organized exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, including but not limited to individuals and organizations that are committed to engaging in collective action at the local, state, and national levels to advance the equitable inclusion of Latino communities in all facets of American society.

On October 13, LANF Executive Director Dr. Jesselly De La Cruz joined community leaders and advocates as a featured panelist at the 2026 Crossroads NJ Democracy Forum: Fighting for the Future, held at NJPAC in Newark.

During the panel, “Land of the Free: Immigrant Organizing to Meet the Moment,” discussions focused on immigrant organizing, civic engagement, and the power of collective action in shaping New Jersey's future.

The forum, presented by The Fund for New Jersey in partnership with NJPAC, also featured a special evening conversation with renowned activist and scholar Dr. Angela Davis and Dr. Salamishah Tillet.

These conversations reinforced the importance of community leadership, collective action, and continued engagement in building a more just and inclusive New Jersey.

A great afternoon of connection and community engagement! 💜

A few days back, LANF hosted its “How to Stay Civically Engaged” Meet & Greet at our office at Kean University, bringing students together to explore opportunities to get involved, build meaningful connections, and make a difference in their communities.

A special thank you to all the students who joined us, shared their perspectives, and took the time to learn more about LANF and the opportunities ahead!
