Camp Swamp community — we could use a little help 💛

We are currently looking to borrow a few generators for the month of June while we wait for our backup diesel generator to be installed.

If you, your business, or someone you know might be willing to let Camp Swamp borrow generators for a few weeks, we would be incredibly grateful. Even better if they could be delivered to camp!

Camp Swamp serves kids and families all summer long, and having additional generator support would help us continue creating a safe and welcoming environment for campers, staff, and families throughout the month.

We will take great care of any equipment borrowed and deeply appreciate our community always stepping in to help make camp possible.

At Camp Swamp, we believe every camper deserves the opportunity to experience a space where they are welcomed, encouraged, known, and surrounded by community.

Through our Help a Camper Fund, more campers are able to experience Camp Swamp and become part of moments like these.

Camp officially starts in 4 days… but behind the scenes, camp is already coming to life.

Cabins are being cleaned. Equipment is being organized. Windows are being washed. Floors are being pressure cleaned. The snack shack is getting stocked. Every corner of camp is being prepared with care and excitement for the summer ahead.

Our summer full-time staff (counselors, head teen worker & media team) have already arrived and are working hard to prepare a place where campers can belong, learn, play, connect, build community and experience God’s wonder.

Because camp doesn’t just happen.

It’s prayed over. Prepared for. Built together.

We cannot WAIT to welcome campers back to Camp Swamp in just a few more days.

You might think you’re “just” cooking…
but God sees something so much bigger.

One of our longtime campers, Kai, served in the kitchen at Camp Swamp last summer and it became so much more than preparing meals. It became an opportunity to love, to give, and to serve others the way Christ calls us to. Just by showing up, God used him in ways that he couldn’t have even imagined.

And that’s the beauty of Camp… every role matters.

Whether you’re:
• Serving in the kitchen
• Helping alongside Hoby in maintenance
• Supporting Katherine as a teen worker
• Supporting our media team
• Or caring for campers as a nurse

You are part of something bigger. You are creating a place where kids feel safe, known, and loved.

Think Camp Swamp has been quiet since our last spring event?

Not even close.

Work for summer began months ago. Our team has been busy clearing a new path from the girls cabins to the pool, cleaning up logs and debris near staff cabins, removing dead and fallen trees, grinding stumps behind Cabin One, repairing old pipes, fixing water leaks, and making sure camp is ready for the busy season ahead.

Every project matters because every detail helps create a safe, welcoming place for campers and families this summer.

You see camp when you see the Camp Swamp sign & smiling faces of friends as they sign in at the dining hall.
We see months of preparation behind the scenes.

Huge thanks to Hoby and our maintenance team for the work that often goes unseen but makes camp possible.

Wonder opens our eyes to see God.

At Camp Swamp, wonder looks like fireflies lighting up the night, laughter echoing across the field, the beauty of creation under a star-filled sky, and children asking questions about faith and life. It’s in the quiet moments, the joyful moments, and the unexpected moments where God feels near.

We believe wonder helps hearts notice what can easily be missed—that God is present, moving, creating, and inviting us into something bigger than ourselves.

In a world that moves fast, Camp Swamp creates space to slow down, look around, and see the fingerprints of God all around us.
