Atlanta Montego Bay Sister Cities Committee The Atlanta Montego Bay sister cities committee was established in 1972 and is one of 18 sister cities affiliated with the city of Atlanta.

We are a group of altruistic, passionate individuals with the goal of empowering communities in the Montego Bay area in health, human services, education and technology We are a nonprofit tax-exempt international organization with branches in Atlanta and Montego Bay. Over the past 28 years, the human services committee has provided care to approximately 60,000 underserved residents of Montego Bay

and surrounding areas to the tune of US$5 million in medicine ,supplies ,services and human resources. The education and technology section of our committee has provided scholarships and cultural exchanges for youth in Atlanta and Montego Bay through our youth ambassador program. In the Atlanta area we have partnered with many other nonprofit organizations to provide services for communities in need in the area of back to school school events, health fairs, addressing food insecurities and other resources. During the pandemic fifteen schools in St. James, Trelawny and Kingston, and three health institutions in Western Jamaica were the beneficiaries of gifts from the Atlanta Montego Bay Sister Cities Committee. The gifts comprised medical equipment, scholarships, tablets and laptop computers, valued at US$120,000. Cornwall Regional Hospital, Falmouth Hospital and the Noel Holmes Hospital received well-needed high flow oxygen delivery devices and oxygen concentrators valued at US$70,000.00.
131 tablets and 26 laptop computers were distributed to 15 educational institutions, of which 13 are in St. James, one in Trelawny and one in Kingston. Among those receiving tablets and laptops were Adelphi Primary School, Adelphi Gardens Basic School, Goodwill Primary School, Sudbury All-Age School, Barrett Town All-Age School, Dumfries All-Age School, Muschett High School, Cornwall College, and the University of the West Indies. Scholarships valued at US$2,000 each were awarded to two medical students at the University of the West Indies. A further three scholarships valued at US$500 each were given to one student at St James HS ( in honor of the Late Vin Martin who served as Chairman of AMBSCC and Jamaica's Honorary Consul to Atlanta) and two students at Montego Bay HS.
