The last couple days our soils team has been preparing for their competition! On Tuesday they went to Cattlemen’s Steak House for dinner, and today they got to visit the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial, and did even more additional practice! We wish you all the best of luck tomorrow!!!

National soils update: On Saturday our soils team left to compete, and on Sunday, the first day, they traveled to Dallas...

National soils update: On Saturday our soils team left to compete, and on Sunday, the first day, they traveled to Dallas, Texas. They got breakfast at Whataburger and drove to the The Sixth Floor Museum in Dealy Plaza, and even saw were JFK was shot. Then they did some soils practice, of course, and then drove to the AT&T Stadium and had a tour there. After that they went to the Fort Worth Stockyards, and saw the cattle drive. Finally they had dinner at a smoke pit food area before getting a good night's rest.

Today, the second day, they woke up and drove to Arbuckle Wilderness, where they got to see and feed donkeys, camels, highland cows, zebras, and other wildlife. They stopped at Buc-ees and got some merch and snacks, and after wards drove to El Rino and ate lunch at Bruams. Finally they got to the hotel and had some soil practice!

Make sure to wish everyone good luck before they compete on Thursday!

State convention was a hit! Our chapter competed in many events. Team events: Parliamentary procedure which placed 3rd, Floriculture, Conduct of chapter meetings, and Ag Sales with Clara being a high individual. Individual Events: Belle Orcutt in Employment Skills 2nd, Ian Penuelas Parliamentarian exam, Sophia Tibbals Talent 4th, Aiden Barnes Ag Ed CDE, and Raydin Buchanan was a delegate! Make sure to send our Chapter members a warm congratulations!
