We love our Emelia Powell and are so grateful for her work both as a regular cast member in our summer musicals, but also as a teaching assistant, Dance Captain, and Youth Program member.

Emelia has been dancing for 13 years and she can’t imagine life without it! She enjoys any and all styles she can get her hands on. She joined Troy community theater in 2019 in the Wizard of Oz and loved it so much she came back the next year for Your a Good Man Charlie Brown, and then for Newsies, Music Man, Something’s Afoot, Cinderella, and most recently Oklahoma. She has also been a part of APOD Productions Jane Eyre and Highschool Musical the Musical. She can’t wait to add Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat to her collection! She is a proud student of Festival Dance Academy and is looking forward to continuing her education at the University of Idaho! She also teaches Festival Dance’s outreach ballet classes in Troy!

You can come dance with Emelia at Festival Dance & Performing Arts for the ‘Carousel’ Musical Theatre Workshop, and see her perform with Troy Community Theatre in this summer’s production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’!

We are so excited to announce one of our 2025 TAC Youth Scholarship recipients, Joshua Ketcheson.

Joshua is a recently graduated senior from Genesee High School who has been involved in two Troy Community Theatre shows. He played Jean Mitchell in a Rogers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella and Will Parker in a Rogers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma. He has enjoyed working with the people, and is currently cast as Simeon for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Some of his hobbies include camping with family, biking, running, traveling, and hanging out with friends. He will be serving a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Day Saints before attending college at BYU.

You can see Joshua Ketcheson currently performing at APOD’s ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ running this weekend and next. You will also see him in Troy Community Theatre production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ as Simeon THIS SUMMER!
