❤️🐾 TODAY, WE NEED TO RAVE A LITTLE BIT! 🐾❤️
Not about ourselves, but about the AMAZING community of people who surround Tracy DogGirls Rescue and continue to show up for one another.
Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness make the BIGGEST differences in someone's life. And today, we want to share a few things happening behind the scenes that remind us why we do what we do. ❤️
🐾 FIRST — KEEPING A DOG CONNECTED TO THE PERSON WHO LOVES HIM.
Today, we are welcoming a Husky into our rescue family... well, sort of!
You see, this Husky already HAS an owner who loves him. Unfortunately, his owner is going through a difficult time, trying to find stable housing, and her dog has been staying in a shelter environment.
Instead of allowing that bond to be lost, TDGR stepped up to help! We are arranging for this beautiful boy to be closer to his owner, giving her the opportunity to visit, reconnect, and strengthen their bond while she works toward getting back on her feet.
Not one dime requested. No adoption needed. Just a little time, compassion, and a helping hand.
Sometimes rescue isn't about finding a dog a NEW family. Sometimes it's about helping a family STAY TOGETHER. ❤️
🎈🐶 SECOND — A VERY SPECIAL PUPPY PARTY!
Tomorrow, something incredibly heartwarming is happening!
A young girl in our community who is nonverbal absolutely LOVES dogs. So what did our amazing rescue family do?
WE PLANNED HER A PUPPY PARTY! 🎉🐾
We're talking balloons, gifts, lots of love, and not just ONE puppy... but FOUR adorable puppies coming to celebrate with her!
Our volunteers stepped up to make this happen, and we cannot wait to see the joy that these puppies bring to this special little girl.
No adoption event. No fundraiser. No expectations.
Just people coming together to make someone smile and create a memory that matters. ❤️
🐕 THIRD — HELPING A DOG WHO HAD NOBODY.
Yesterday, one of our previous adopters reached out after finding an abandoned dog. Something was clearly wrong, and this poor dog needed help.
TDGR stepped up and covered the veterinary expenses to ensure this dog received care and was comfortable.
The dog was microchipped, and unfortunately, the circumstances indicate abandonment. The dog will be heading to Stockton Animal Shelter, where we are concerned it may eventually face euthanasia.
We will be monitoring this dog's situation closely and, if that happens, will do everything we can to bring this dog into our rescue.
Because sometimes being there for an animal means helping even when that animal isn't officially one of ours. ❤️
❤️ AND NOW, HERE IS WHAT WE REALLY WANT TO SAY...

The needs in animal rescue NEVER STOP. And when we say never, we mean ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.
The phone calls. The messages. The abandoned animals. The desperate situations. The families struggling. The dogs needing medical care. The people just needing someone to say, "We can help."
And the hardest part of rescue? We have to say NO far more often than our hearts want to.
But sometimes, we get to say YES.
And those YES moments happen because of YOU.
❤️ To our DONORS — you trust us with your hard-earned money. You believe in our mission. You give generously, sometimes without ever seeing the lives you've changed. We take that trust seriously. Every donation is a responsibility, and we work hard to be good stewards of the support you give us.
❤️ To our VOLUNTEERS — you give your time, energy, love, and often your own resources to make things happen. You show up when needed, sometimes with very little notice, and you make the impossible feel possible.
❤️ To our FOSTERS — you open your homes and hearts, rearrange your lives, lose sleep, clean up messes, and love these animals like your own. You are the backbone of rescue.
❤️ To our DOG WALKERS AND DOGGY DAY OUT VOLUNTEERS — you give our dogs experiences, confidence, exercise, socialization, and love. You help them become the dogs we know they can be.
❤️ To our ADOPTERS AND COMMUNITY SUPPORTERS — you continue to be part of our rescue family long after adoption day. You share our posts, reach out when animals need help, and remind us that rescue creates connections that last.
We are so incredibly proud of this little community we've built.
We may not be the biggest rescue. We may not have endless funding or unlimited foster homes. We certainly cannot save every animal or solve every problem.
But what we DO have is a community with enormous hearts, a team that genuinely cares, and supporters who trust us to do the right thing.
And sometimes doing the right thing isn't about rescuing another dog.
Sometimes it's helping a struggling owner keep her best friend.
Sometimes it's making a little girl's day magical with four puppies.
Sometimes it's paying a vet bill for an abandoned animal that isn't even in our rescue.
THIS is what community looks like. THIS is what compassion looks like. THIS is what your donations make possible. 🐾❤️
We will continue doing everything we can for the animals AND the people in our communities, one small act of kindness at a time.
