When we make a long distance ride, I always try to apply the theory that I may be seeing things for the last time in my life. So, when I go to see something, I really wanna see it, not just cruise through.
On our last trip out West, we spent the night in Cody Wyoming. The next morning we crossed Chief Joseph Highway and Beartooth pass to Red Lodge where we stayed for a few nights. The next morning, we rode Beartooth pass and Chief Joseph Highway in the opposite direction. Then we took a day off to relax, clean up the bikes and do minor service. Then, back on the road over Beartooth Highway into Yellowstone. We spent that night in West Yellowstone and when we left, we went back into Yellowstone and exited the park at Gardiner.  Several days later and on our route back, we entered the Grand Teton National Park and then entered Yellowstone again.  We biked, we hiked and we saw a considerable amount of the area. More so, than just riding through.
