It's scholarship application time! Deadline is June 30th...don't miss out! Spread the word and drop your questions below! If you know a Townsend resident who will be attending an accredited college or trade school for the 2026-2027 school year, please have them complete an application! To receive a scholarship award, applicants must apply online and submit the following documents through the quick online application (link is below!):

1) Copy of driver's license showing Townsend address
2) Copy of prior semester's grades or (high school transcript)
3) Upcoming Class Schedule

If the student will be a freshman or trade school student, they might not have their schedule yet. No worries! Apply anyway and we can collect the registration documents later!

Have you ever met our Ben Bryant? He's a Hearts and Hands sophomore at Bryan College studying Education. He told us that his $1,600 scholarship helped pay for his textbooks and food this year. We know growing boys don't miss meals. Glad we could help keep him going!

Rumor around town is that he's pretty good at baseball too! Hopefully he can make it home to visit this summer. If you see him out...give him a pat on the back!

We offer our students a $1,600 scholarship for each year they are enrolled. $1,600 can mean books paid for, tools purchased, or fewer hours worked at a second job.

Meet one of our current scholarship students! Willow Rutter, one of our own, is a student at the University of Chicago and studying abroad! We are so excited for her! She might be having grand adventures over the "Big Pond", but she still wanted to share a little message for you!

"I’m so grateful to Hearts and Hands for giving me the extra help I need to take my studies with me wherever I go! As an International Environmental Policy student, the problems I study don’t have borders, so I’m traveling as much as I can. I’m currently studying abroad in Barcelona and spending weekends in other parts of Europe. The Hearts and Hands scholarship has helped me explore my college town of Chicago and helped me explore the world.
