Rondout Valley Little League

Dear RVLL Family,

Over the past two years, I have had the privilege of serving as the president of this fantastic league. Together, we have been able to continue the league improvements that started with past presidents and board members. I am very proud of all the additional accomplishments we have made during this time as well.

At the end of this past season, our District Administrator decided to retire after many years of dedicated service. With this position opening up, I felt I could help our entire district just as I have for RVLL, and I have officially taken on the role of District 16 District Administrator. Because of this new position, I am not permitted to hold the title of League President for the upcoming season. As a result, the league will need to elect a new president during our next meeting. This upcoming meeting will be used to establish the 2027 board, so I highly encourage you to consider joining the board in some capacity. I will still maintain a small role on the board and will help the new president in any way that I can. I also plan to continue coaching the softball team and the Challenger team.

Our final field cleanup and shutdown is scheduled for this Saturday, November 7th, starting at 9:00 AM and ask that you come and help as many hands make light work. I will be there, so if you have any questions about the board or the league's future, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Thank you all again for a great 2026 season and all the support for past few years. I truly hope you will take this opportunity to join the board and help continue to make RVLL a fun, special place for our community!

Happy Halloween everyone!

What an exciting way to end the 2026 season! The mlb are not the only ones who played in October. We had an incredible night game last night hosted by Mountain Valley Little League.
Today we had our last challenger game in costume for Halloween with a special guest from the Rosendale Police Department! Thank you to all the players, parents and coaches for an outstanding October!

Hello RVLL family!
We wanted to give a quick update on our fall ball and end of season information.

For the first time in a long time, RVLL hosted a fall ball game against MVLL! The players, coaches and parents took advantage of the perfect weather and made it an amazing afternoon of baseball. As of now they have one more game scheduled for Friday night under the lights which should be a lot of fun.

The challenger team has been playing all fall as well and will be ending their season Halloween morning with a costume game! We would love for you to come cheer them on starting at 10am as we finish the season strong.

For the end of season clean up, that is scheduled for November 7th starting at 9am We encourage you to come and help us clean, organize and close up the facility. This will help us be ready to re-open for the 2027 season

Lastly, don’t forget we are going to need many new board members for next season as many are moving on with their kids that are aging out. There will be meeting in November to have voting for the formation of the 2027 board. We encourage you to come and help continue making RVLL the best it can be.

Hello RVLL family!

We want to send out a quick reminder that tomorrow is our last board meeting for the 2026 season. The meeting will be at 7:30 in the Rondout Municipal Center, room M-15. We will be finalizing and closing out the 2026 season as well as answering any questions you may have for possible board positions. There will be a meeting in October to vote on a new board for the 2027 season. Please remember that without a board, the season cannot happen.

The following are positions the are to be voted on. The ones with an (*) are mandatory to have. Please consider joining the board to help make the 2027 season the best yet.

We look forward to seeing you there.

President*: Acts as chief administrator, oversees overall league operations, represents the league at district meetings, and serves as the primary contact with Little League International.

Vice President*: Steps in during the president's absence, supports other board members, and handles specific operational assignments delegated by the president.

Secretary*: Maintains league records, records and distributes meeting minutes, and handles official league correspondence and notices.

Treasurer*: Manages all financial accounts, tracks income and expenses, prepares budgets, and presents financial reports to the board.

Player Agent*: Oversees player registration, conducts tryouts and evaluations, verifies player age/residency eligibility, and manages team drafts or placements.

Safety Officer*: Coordinates the ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program) plan, inspects equipment and facilities for hazards, and manages injury tracking and reporting.

Coaching Coordinator*: Represents managers and coaches, implements coach-training programs, and distributes educational materials.

Umpire-in-Chief (UIC): Recruits, trains, and schedules umpires, runs rule clinics, and handles rule disputes during the season.

Information Officer: Manages the league website, runs social media channels, sends email updates, and handles online player registration setup.

Sponsorship/Fundraising Manager: Solicits local businesses for team sponsorships, coordinates banner sales, and organizes league-wide fundraising events.

Concession Manager: Oversees snack bar operations, orders food and supplies, manages inventory, and schedules volunteers or workers.

Equipment Manager: Inventories, purchases, and distributes Uniforms, baseballs, catcher's gear, and safety equipment to each team, then collects it post-season.

Fields & Maintenance Director: Oversees field preparation, schedules field workdays, maintains lawn mowers or equipment, and manages field safety conditions.

Hello RVLL family!

We hope everyone had a fantastic summer. As we move towards Fall, we are excited to let everyone know that ball will continue at our fields.
The challenger team has started its fall season and will be playing on Saturdays at 10am. We welcome you to come help or cheer them on during these exciting games!
We have finally been able to get a team for fall baseball and getting a schedule together now. The team is listed as Rondout Valley and the team ID is 64CgzGsYtQH8 in GameChanger if you would like to follow.
Our last board meeting for the 2026 season is at 7:30 on Tuesday September 22nd at the Rondout Municipal Center, room M-15. If you are interested in joining the board and helping, we highly encourage you to come to the meeting to learn more. The new 2027 board gets formed during the October meeting. We look forward to seeing many new faces and making next season even better.
