Edit: After reviewing the comments, it appears this may have been Mother’s which was just south of Tigerton on Highway 45 and burned down in the 1995. We appreciate the responses. The history we preserve is imperfect and only as good as the information people write down. It takes a community to preserve its memory. Thanks again!

Did you know that they used to do butchering here in Tigerton? One of the places you could get local meat was at the Badger Lumber Company. They had buildings outback where they butchered. Here is a photo from the 1950s showing Roy Kauffman about to do some butchering of chickens for the Badger Lumber Company.
