Just a reminder for those of you heading North in a few short weeks, Three Lakes is celebrating the 4th of July over the course of FOUR DAYS starting July 1!

The fireworks will be held on July 2, following the dedication of the new Veterans Memorial.

The Pancake Breakfast and Parade will take place on July 4th as usual! However, look for the Lions Club Breakfast at the Reiter Center this year due to construction at Three Lakes High School.

Earth Day +28 is just a day away!

We'd love to have you join us in cleaning up the Military Road Historic and Scenic Drive tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20 from 1-3.

Meet at 1 p.m. at the Three Lakes Fire Department Station #2 located at the corner of Hwy 32 and Col. Himes Road. Bring gloves and proper clothing! We will provide bags, vests and water.

We had originally planned this as an Earth Day project, but the weather prevented that from happening, so we are doing it 28 days later!

Please join us in congratulating the 2026 Rising Star Scholarship winner, Raqual Gebele.

This scholarship is given to a senior who has shown dedication to volunteerism in the Three Lakes Community. Raqual has volunteered with organizations including the Northern Lights Snowmobile Club and the Three Lakes Fire Department.

In addition to her $1,000 scholarship, Raqual will select a local nonprofit to receive a $300 grant.

We are sponsoring an Earth Day +28 Clean Up Project on Military Road on Wednesday, May 20, from 1 to 3 p.m. Those wishing to participate in the clean up of 3 miles of this scenic byway are encouraged to meet at Three Lakes Fire Department Station #2 at the corner of Hwy 32 and Col. Himes Road by 1 p.m.

Please bring gloves and dress for ticks. We will provide trash bags to separate trash from recyclables. We will also provide safety vests and water.

We had planned to complete this task as part of Earth Day; however, the weather and snow depth of the ditches didn't cooperate, so we are calling this Earth Day +28!
