🏗️ Building Futures, One Project at a Time 🏗️

The Three Lakes Community Foundation is thrilled to announce a $3,500 grant to the Three Lakes School District's building trades program for their new initiative: Building Bluejays!

This grant will help purchase a trailer and essential hand tools, letting students take on real, hands-on building projects right here in our community, without the travel time and logistical hurdles that have limited opportunities in the past.

And here's the best part: when a member of the Class of 1976 heard about this project, they were so inspired that they contributed an additional $1,000 as a pass-through grant, bringing even more momentum to this exciting new program!

The students' first major project? A garage just a block from the school grounds, and we hear a second project is already lined up for next year! 🙌

This program gives students the chance to build real skills, serve their own community, and showcase their work right here at home. We are SO excited to watch this grow.

Huge thanks to everyone who made this possible — including our generous Class of 1976 donor — and congratulations to the Three Lakes School District on launching Building Bluejays!

We're proud to award a $3,800 grant for fencing improvements at the Don Burnside Park pickleball courts!

Last year, one tennis court was converted into two new pickleball courts to meet the sport's growing popularity. This grant funds fencing between the new courts (matching the existing style) and fencing to separate pickleball and tennis play — improving safety and appearance, with ADA accessibility in mind to support inclusive play for all. 🙌

We're proud to award a $1,000 grant to support an Eagle Scout project bringing new life to our Three Lakes town parks!

The Emerald Ash Borer has taken a toll on our ash trees, but this project will replace them with new maple trees and ornamental shrubs — plus stump grinding and fresh landscaping materials to help everything take root.

Thank you to the young scout leading this effort for stepping up to care for our community's green spaces. We can't wait to see it grow! 🍁
