🎶 Happy Father’s Day from The Woodlands Chorale! 🎶

Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures whose love, guidance, and support help us find our voice and reach for new heights.

Music has long been shaped by remarkable fathers. One example is Johann Sebastian Bach, a devoted father of 20 children, several of whom became accomplished musicians themselves. His legacy reminds us that the gifts we share with future generations can resonate far beyond our own lifetime.

To all the dads who inspire, encourage, and cheer us on from the audience and beyond, thank you for being the steady rhythm in our lives.

This past Sunday, we had the honor to join Lord of Life Lutheran The Woodlands TX for their 2nd Sunday after Pentecost worship service.

Here we are singing, "The Lord Bless You and Keep You" under the direction of a fellow chorale member, Garrett Maddox.

Answer for Tuesday Trivia:

The piano is officially classified as both a STRING and a PERCUSSION instrument.

Because it bridges two different categories, its classification depends on whether you look at how it makes sound or how it is played.

Why is it a String Instrument?

Vibrating Strings: Inside the piano, sound is created by tightly stretched steel strings.

Resonance: The vibration of these strings transfers to a wooden soundboard to amplify the music.

Why is it a Percussion Instrument?

Struck Action: You do not pluck or bow the strings.

Hammers: Pressing a key triggers a felt-covered wooden hammer to physically strike the string.
