It is with great sympathy that we announce the death of Lt. Taylor De Marchis. He passed unexpectedly on May 26, 2025.

Lt. De Marchis, a Firefighter/Paramedic for 12 years with VPSD, was respected by all who knew him. Promoted to Lieutenant at Station 40 in March 2025. All of us are deeply saddened by his untimely death. Our condolences go out to his family, friends, and coworkers.

The arrangements for his Celebration of Life are as follows:

Our union, our department, our family, we are devastated at the loss of our brother, Lieutenant Taylor DeMarchis. Lt DeMarchis was many things to many people, a friend, a brother, a son, a mentor, a leader. He will be deeply missed by not only our department but by the many others who knew him. Rest easy brother, we will take it from here.
