🤎 Off to New Adventures
​There are days that remind us exactly why we do what we do, even when it means saying goodbye. Today, our sweet little Valais sheep and our darling Fig loaded up and headed out to their new homes in Norco! ✨

​Watching these precious souls grow, thrive, and bring so much joy to the ranch has been such a gift. While the trailers pulling away always leave the pastures feeling just a little bit quieter, our hearts are completely full knowing they are going to a wonderful new homes where they will be absolutely cherished.

​Thank you to their amazing new families for giving them such a beautiful next chapter. Safe travels, little ones you will always hold a piece of our hearts here at the ranch! 🐾🌾

🌾 Big Things are Happening at Barites Veteran Ranch! 🚜✨

​If you’ve been wondering why we’ve been a little quiet lately, it’s because we have been working around the clock! The ranch is absolutely buzzing with energy as we tackle some massive infrastructure upgrades, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next.

​Here is a sneak peek at the incredible projects currently underway:

• ​Our Dream Picnic & Photo Area 📸🌱: We are officially laying down beautiful, fresh green grass to create a dedicated community space! Whether it’s family photos, ranch events, or just a place to sit back and take in the high-country views, this spot is going to be awesome 😎.

• ​The Ultimate Fire Pit Sitting Area 🔥🪵: Looking for a place to unwind? We are building a gorgeous, fire pit circle complete with cozy seating. It's the perfect spot for sharing stories under the stars after a long, rewarding day on the ranch.

• ​The Milking Stand is Going Up! 🥛🐐🐄: Our brand-new milking stand is officially under construction, which means one major thing...

​RAW MILK IS COMING SOON! 🎉🥛: Get ready, because we will officially be back to milking very soon! We are incredibly excited to bring fresh, wholesome raw milk back to the ranch pipeline.

• If that weren't enough we are working on putting together a ranch style hot tub with wood fired heated water for our old bones and muscles to get some much needed relief 😮‍💨!

​We are building out these spaces to make the ranch better than ever for our family, our veterans, and our first responders to enjoy after a long day of learning and putting in work! Meet BVR Major Houlihan this little big one is all legs and was born at around 9am on Memorial day 2026.

Mom is Stellina our full size A2A2 cow. Mom gives approximately 7-8 gallons of delicious milk! So this little one is going to be a MAJOR player as someone's milk cow one day!

She's not just beautiful folks but she's got it all to offer! She should reach about 43" give or take when she's an adult.

As we look ahead to Memorial Day tomorrow, our newest addition, BVR Francis, stands as a proud symbol of the freedom we enjoy every single day. We are deeply reminded that we wouldn't be able to live this life, work this land, or do what we do without the ultimate sacrifice of the brave souls who lost their lives for us. This weekend, and every day, we honor and remember them.

They say it takes a village, but around here, it takes a community of people who truly care. We just looked at our insights and saw that our posts received over 1,000 reactions this past week! Thank you all so much for the incredible support and for constantly sharing our updates.

​When we started this journey, our goal was simple: to create a haven for veterans and first responders without the bureaucratic nightmares.

​We all know how frustrating it is to deal with government-run programs the endless forms, the red tape, and the agonizing wait times just to get a call back. We don’t operate that way. Our programs are designed to offer direct, real-time community, healing, and hard work with none of the hassle.

Why do they all have to be so amazing!! Always pulling on our heartstrings

Baby Francis is another calf for the books! Holy moly he's stocky and sweet, fluffy and strong! A shorty that is going to make a family so VERY happy!!
