American GI Forum of California The American G.I. Forum (AGIF) is a Congressionally chartered Hispanic veterans and civil rights organization. that was established in 1948 by Dr. Hector P.

Its motto is "Education is Our Freedom and Freedom should be Everybody's Business". AGIF currently operates chapters throughout United States. The AGIF/CA has been in existence since 1958 in California, and is a subsidiary of the much larger AGIF of the U.S. García in Corpus Christi, Texas.
