Sharing for smiles 🥰🥰🥰!!

Today, I walked out of the vet’s office carrying two empty carriers… and my heart was absolutely broken. 💔

One carrier belonged to Grandpa, a beautiful, long-haired gray and white 17-year-old senior who was abandoned outside three years ago. He had spent his final years knowing what it felt like to be safe, warm, loved, and cared for. His body was simply tired, and today we had to help him cross the bridge peacefully. 💔🌈

The other carrier held Fanta, a tiny 6-month-old orange and white kitten who came to us from a hoarding situation. He had a severe diaphragmatic hernia that was causing him increasing respiratory distress. His little body was fighting a battle he never should have had to fight.

Two completely different lives. Two cats who deserved so much more time.

And yet, as heartbreaking as today was, we are grateful they were not alone at the end. They knew warmth. They knew kindness. They knew someone cared enough to fight for them and, when the time came, to let them go with dignity and love.

A big thank you to the amazing Vets and staff at Abington Vet Center for always being there for us when we need them.

Rescue isn’t always happy endings. Sometimes rescue is simply being there for them when no one else was.

Tonight, those two carriers are empty. But the love they left behind is not. 🐾💔🌈

Run free, Grandpa.
Run free, Fanta.
You mattered. You were loved. You were ours. ❤️

Donations to cover their vet expenses would be greatly appreciated 💔

🚨 MISSING CAT — PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT! 🚨

One of our former ACA kitties is missing and her family is searching for her. 🖤

IVY — formerly known as Millie while in our care — got out on Saturday, September 26 and has not yet returned home.

📍 Missing from Jermyn, PA
🐈‍⬛ Black female
💜 Was wearing a purple breakaway collar with an ID tag when she got out
🔎 MICROCHIPPED

Please keep an eye out around your property, under porches and decks, in sheds, garages, bushes, and other quiet hiding places. Frightened indoor cats may stay very close to home while remaining hidden and silent.

⚠️ Please do not chase her if spotted. If you see Ivy or believe you may have seen her, please contact us with the location and time of the sighting so we can get the information to her family.

📣 PLEASE SHARE, especially with friends, family, neighbors, and anyone you know in the Jermyn area. The more local eyes looking for her, the better chance we have of getting Ivy safely home.

Please help us bring our former ACA girl home. 🖤🐾
