Binks, our special needs queen. She has significant mobility challenges, still lives a happy life. Her original mom got in trouble with her town for owning a pig, but ulimately abandoned her instead of moving.

Binks goes outside on cool, dry days (we've had few this year) and she has many piggy companions.

Less than 2 weeks away! Drag Queen Bingo Saturday August 22nd at the Springdale Veterans Association, featuring the Legendary Queens of Drag. Doors open at 5pm and starts at 7pm. There will be show-stopping queens, hit dance numbers, special games, 50/50, raffle baskets, snacks for sale and a cash bar. Bonus: special piggy guest when the doors open!

Co-parents Geez Louise and Winifred. Geez had 6 babies via c-section shortly after we rescued her. Winnie had 6 of her own outside a few weeks later. Sadly, due to a deadly virus that they got before being rescued, two of Geez's babies passed along with all of Winnie's babies. These two boys, Nugget and Chunk, now have two moms. Their two siblings Sweetie Pie and Bug are with a foster getting extra care.

Things have been so hard, but we are so happy for these little moments. These brothers will get neutered in two weeks and then be ready for their forever home.

Verne! This little smoosh from the massive Operation Squeal City case is available for adoption. He is mostly kunekune, quite fat, and ridiculously cute. Verne is about 2yo and neutered. He does well with other pigs. Send us a message if you're interested.

Adoption success! Congrats to Penny, Piper, and their new family the Bruenings. They are repeat Squealers adopters, so we couldn't be happier for them all! And massive thank you to their foster Tiffany, who reached out offering to help the moment we announced this massive intake. She paid for their care and spays.... we are so thankful!

Jimothy πŸ™ƒ Not all the pigs from the Operation Squeal City case have gotten names, but many do if they have a unique trait or are injured/ill. Well, some pig bit off half his tail yesterday 🫣 There was a lot of blood and panic. He is now resting in our barn with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory pain meds.

We lost another baby πŸ˜“ Rhino, the sole survivor of Claudia (now Gertie's) litter that was born outside, passed away suddenly today. He and his mom headed to a foster shortly after he was born for some extra TLC.

All of the piglets born from this hoarding case have gotten sick from Porcine Circovirus type 2. We only just got the results this weekend from Spot's necropsy. This is not a disease we have ever had at the rescue. It is a virus and, even with early vaccination, has a very high mortality rate in piglets. So, all of our medical efforts were likely in vain 😩

Two of Geez Louise's babies are finally doing well and her two in foster are gaining strength. Winifred, another momma that lost all 6 of her babies to the virus, is coparenting well.

Rhino thrived since he was born and never showed any signs of illness. Thus his sudden, rapid decline today was heart-wrenching for his human mom to see. We are so sad for momma Gertie and foster Danielle. This case has been so hard on us all. Shame on the hoarder for letting these pigs endlessly breed.
