What a day! 11 neuters and spay all thanks to our amazing vet and her team. This is just the beginning... we still have over 60 pigs to get fixed including ones on foster homes. Fix your freaking pigs!

It's the first neuter day for Operation Squeal City boys! We have 11 boys (and one girl oops) at our vet to get their life saving surgeries. One little boy wasn't feeling well today, so he stayed home. No more constant fighting (and f*cking), no risk of testicular cancer, and they can be adopted into loving, forever homes of their own.

This is Agatha. She is one of the 66 pigs at our rescue from the Operation Squeal City hoarding case in Rostraver Township. We have named only a few of the pigs saved so far, as we are in no rush to name new pigs, but this one just fit. She is polite, calm, and just so witchy 🧙‍♀️

We brought Agatha into our barn for some TLC last week. Most of the pigs from this case are fat or morbidly obese, but she is so thin. She recently had a litter, despite being young herself, and has an untreated leg abscess from before her rescue that started to grow. Since her barn vacay started, she has more energy and has started to gain weight!

Every pig from this case deserves special care. We check on each any every one multiple times a day. That is hard, considering that we now have over 110 pigs in our care, but exhausting evenings after work and the help of volunteers have made things doable.

This week, our vet will neuter 13 of the smallest boys. Blue will help out as a vet assistant (since she works there part-time now!). Next, we need to work with our vet and several others to plan more neuters.

Oh Dingaling... your diet isn't going as planned, is it?

This chunky hunk is one of the 66 pigs that we recently took on from Operation Squeal City. Most of the pigs are high-energy potbelly/hampshire mixes. Older, healthy pigs went to our new outdoor girl and boy pens. The younger ones went straight to our barn for neuters and/or foster placement. And some special medical piggies, like Geez Louise, and a couple mobidly obese pigs went to our barn, as well.

We had thought Dingy and his (possible) brother Troll were neutered. But alas, their balls were just hidden under all the chub! Not a single pig from the 100+ hoarding case is fixed.

Dingaling and Troll will be heading to a foster home "fat camp" very soon! After they shed some pounds, both with get neutered and then start their journey to find a forever home.
