Tonight we had a Halloween party with Pilot trivia, a game called what's in your purse, and we drew a name and had to tell that person what we appreciated about them! It was a great night and we all had lots of fun!

This weekend was the NC District Fall Workshop in Concord. Friday night was Pilot Jeopardy featuring the east with Leslie McLaughlin, central with Laura Keever, and west with Desi Harris. Each contestant picked Pilot themed answers and in the end, Leslie McLaughlin won it for the east! Woo hoo!
Saturday, we had 2 speakers that were phenomenal! They were Renea Henderson who came out dressed like a bag lady and entertained us with some comedy, then with a song and thoughtful words of praise. In the afternoon, our speaker was Jo Hunt, the founder of Ready, Set, Speak. She did a wonderful presentation on Dementia and Alzheimer's and spoke about care givers. She is also a care giver to her husband, Mr. Cool.
The day was filled with silent auctions, market place, and door prizes! Our service project was The Children's Baptist Homes in Thomasville and we raised over a $1000 for them!
We were also honored to have our Executive Committee Director Joanne Mason and PI Vice President Leslie McLaughlin join us for the weekend. All in all, it was a great weekend and it was wonderful seeing everyone again!

Shari Carter thank you so much for getting the Pilot Club of Tarboro involved in participating in an online Pampered Chef party to raise funds for our club. Not only did we sell almost $2000 in PC supplies, but we raised $587 for our club projects. Shari gifted us with an item valued at $149 that we raffled at the District Workshop, bringing in an additional $150 and then we received donations from two individuals that gave us another $100. So it's a total of $837. WOW!! Go Pilots!!!
