You're invited to join the Edgecombe County 4-H Wildlife (WHEP) Club! If you are between the ages of 8-18, as of January 1, 2026 and have an interest in learning about different wildlife species, foods, habitat and management...come be a part of this group! We will be planning for the upcoming club year and field trips too!

A great day at the N.C. State Fair Youth Market Turkey Show! Cole received his 2 First place ribbbons and tshirt for his Egg-Cellent contest awards in addition to his Turkey show ribbon! McRae also had a great showing today for his Turkey too! We finished the day with a celebratory “late” lunch at the State Farmer’s Market restaurant! 🙌🎉🍀

There’s a lot to be thankful for in 4-H! 💚

On Thankful Thursday, we’re celebrating the people, experiences and opportunities that make 4-H special.

Consider showing your appreciation by nominating someone who has made a difference through North Carolina 4-H. Two opportunities are currently available to recognize those who help make 4-H possible:

🏆 4-H Alumni and Adult Awards — Celebrate individuals, families and partners who have made a lasting impact on 4-H across North Carolina.
🗓️ Nominations are due October 26.

🍀 4-H Volunteer Leaders’ Association Awards — Recognize outstanding 4-H volunteers and supporters for their service and dedication.
🗓️ Nominations are due November 20.

Registration is open for the Northeast District 4-H Fall Leader's Day on November 7th at the Franklin County Cooperative Extension office. Lunch is provided and there will be two workshops offered! Come participate in the Ag in the Classroom workshop and get your hands in Candle Making! Registration starts at 9am. There will be a raffle and each county is asked to provide an item for the raffle valued at a minimum of $15.
