Remembering Ann McGrath β€οΈ
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend Ann McGrath, who died on September 23 at the age of 93.
Ann and her late husband, Bob McGrath, beloved to generations as an original cast member of Sesame Street, were very special friends to us and had a meaningful place in the BridgeMusik family from its early years. Bob served on BridgeMusikβs Advisory Board, and both Bob and Ann offered us their friendship, warmth, encouragement, and belief in the work we were building for young musicians.
In 2019, BridgeMusik established the Bob McGrath College Fellowship in Bobβs honor. The Fellowship provides support and professional development opportunities for talented college-age musicians, who perform alongside our professional artists while also serving as mentors and musical partners to younger BridgeMusik students.
We were deeply touched to learn that Annβs family designated BridgeMusik for memorial contributions in her honor. In remembrance of Ann, the Fellowship will now continue as the Bob and Ann McGrath College Fellowship.
Through the Fellowship, we hope to remember Bob and Ann, share their love of music with our students, and carry forward their shared legacy of encouraging young people for many years to come.
We will miss Ann very much and remember both her and Bob with tremendous love and gratitude.
