There was tremendous excitement when our Chairman, Dr. Vincent HoSang, OJ, entered the room. His remarkable legacy of entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and community service continues to inspire generations. Truly, his impact speaks for itself, and the admiration and respect shown by those in attendance were a testament to the lives he has touched and the communities he has helped uplift over the years.

The Vincent HoSang Family Foundation proudly celebrated 22 years of its ESTEEM giving platform: Education, Sports, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Empowerment, and Mentorship, on Thursday, May 28, 2026, with a memorable anniversary celebration.

Family, staff, members of the Jamaican Diaspora community, elected officials, business partners, donors, and friends gathered at the Foundation’s affiliate, Caribbean Food Delights, newly expanded facility to commemorate this significant milestone under the theme, “Rooted in Family, Growing Through Generations – 22 Years of Becoming.”

The afternoon honored nine individuals and organizations whose meaningful partnerships and community impact have helped light the way forward throughout the Foundation’s journey. Three outstanding scholarship recipients were also recognized for their exceptional academic achievements.

Among those offering congratulatory remarks were Congressman Mike Lawler, Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny, CRO of the Jamaican Consulate, Christopher Benjamin, and a representative of Rockland County Executive Ed Day. Speakers lauded Dr. Vincent HoSang, his family, and dedicated staff for building an extraordinary legacy of service that spans more than two decades and reflects nearly $4 million in charitable giving.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it is a reminder that well-being belongs in every conversation about community health.

The Vincent HoSang Family Foundation is committed to supporting holistic community health through funding, partnerships, outreach, and practical support for underserved communities in Jamaica, the Jamaican diaspora, and beyond.

VHFF does not provide counseling or therapy services. Instead, our work helps strengthen the community systems that support dignity and well-being. That includes helping connect communities to resources, supporting health-related outreach, assisting with practical needs, and partnering with organizations already doing important work on the ground.

Mental health is impacted by more than one part of life. Access to care, food, mobility support, safe spaces, education, and trusted community networks all matter. When people feel supported, seen, and connected, communities become stronger.

This month, we encourage you to pause, check in with yourself, check in with someone you love, and seek professional help when needed. Asking for support is not weakness. It is wisdom.

1,000 backyard poultry farmers across Jamaica will benefit from Chicken RE-COOP, a Hurricane Recovery Program launched last Friday at the Terra Nova Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica.

The Caribbean Food Delights and New England Consulting Partners sponsored launch initiative responds to the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa in St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland, St. James, Hanover, Manchester, and St. Ann, and will help to restore livestock and renew livelihoods.

A project of Chicken Coop Caribbean under Give Righteousness A Chance to Evangelize (GRACE) Conduct and the guidance of Lighthouse Baptist Church, has already registered 55 farmers in Hanover since Friday.

Chicken RE-COOP aims to restore hope and empower communities through faith, practical support, and the generosity of dedicated partners, sponsors and individuals.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Today, the VHFF honors that dream by looking for the "content of character" in every student we sponsor and every community we support. We don't just give; we invest in the human spirit. 🇯🇲✨
