April Showers…🌧️☔️💧
For the last class of April we painted a rain storm! The little artists spent time painting the rain drops falling from our billowing clouds! They painted and sprayed clear umbrellas, with flowing blue little drip drops falling from them as they sprayed. Many of the littles sat under the umbrellas as they were painted & sprayed which was so magical! The little artists have no clue what skills they are working on, they just know they are having fun! Painting hanging pieces works their shoulders and elbow stability, trunk and core strength, crossing the midline, hand eye coordination and so much more! 😍🙌🏽🤩
We explored a sensory bin of blue and white tapioca pearls (taste safe water beads) These are so fun and are always a big hit. Filling, scooping, pouring, and feeling the texture of the tapioca is so relaxing. I find that in the middle of the hubbub of class they will take some time at the bin to recoup, as well as the play dough table. 💧😌
Finally we filled puffy white pompoms and cotton balls with blue liquid watercolors, filling and releasing droppers into the clouds. As they clouds filled water flowed down the paper like a rain storm! 🌧️
I wonder what will come after all of our April showers 😊
