Big Fifth Inning Leads Tabor Sr Legion Post 183 Past Alexandria Post 41 , Final Score: 11-1

Tabor Legion Post 183 scored seven runs in the fifth inning, which helped them defeat Alexandria Senior Legion Post 41, 11-1 on Tuesday at Tabor. Cooper Mudder singled, scoring one run, Conner Endorf induced Alex Adler to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Endorf induced Calvin Caba to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Carter Smith singled, scoring one run, Ethan Wagner drew a walk, scoring one run, Major Aarstad singled, scoring one run, and Madden Merkwan was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

A steal of home by Ethan Wagner put Post 183 on the board in the bottom of the first.

Tabor added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Merkwan doubled down the right field line, Adler singled down the right field line, and Caba singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Isaiah Crownover earned the win for Tabor. The righty allowed five hits and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking none. Nolan Mentele took the loss for Alexandria. The starter went two innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out three and walking two.

Post 183 amassed 10 hits in the game. Mudder, Caba, and Aarstad each collected two hits for Tabor Legion. Adler, Merkwan, and Caba each drove in two runs for Tabor Legion Post 183. Tabor Legion Post 183 were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Adler had the most chances in the field with six.

Kingston Feldhaus, Jett Jager, Brayden Bahmuller, Carson Kampshoff, and Keagan Hill each collected one hit for Alexandria Senior Legion Post 41. Hill went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.

Tabor Jr Legion Post 183 Claw Back, But Fall Just Short Against Alexandria Junior Legion Post 41

Tabor Jr Legion Post 183's effort to come back from down 10 runs in the fourth inning came up just short, as they fell 10-8 to Alexandria Junior Legion Post 41 on Tuesday at Tabor. Tabor Jr Legion closed the gap by scoring on a triple, an error, a triple, a ground out, a ground out, a single, and a single.

Alexandria got on the board in the top of the first inning after Post 183 committed an error, Easton Dobesh singled to center field, and Tabor committed an error, each scoring one run.

Alexandria extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI singles by Rhett Marek and Callen Warnke.

Post 41 added one run in the third after Mason Fredrich doubled down the left field line.

Marek earned the win for Alexandria. The starter gave up three hits and four runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Owen Bures pitched four innings in relief for Tabor Jr Legion Post 183. The righty gave up four hits and three runs (two earned) while, striking out four and walking one. Ethan Wagner took the loss for Tabor Jr Legion Post 183. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, giving up seven runs (six earned) on seven hits, striking out four and walking three.

Brody Krueger went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Tabor in hits.

Alexandria amassed 11 hits in the game. Leadoff hitter Kingston Feldhaus led Alexandria Junior Legion Post 41 with three hits in three at bats. Marek and Warnke were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Post 41. Dobesh collected two hits for Alexandria in four at bats. Dobesh and Carson Kampshoff each stole multiple bases for Alexandria Junior Legion Post 41 stole six bases in the game.

Tabor Legion Post 183 defeated Vermillion Post 1 by a score of 5-0 on Monday at Tabor as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Cooper Mudder and Calvin Caba each pitched for Tabor in the game. Caba got Connor Peterson to hit into a fielder's choice to get the last out.

Post 183 opened the scoring in the first after Madden Merkwan singled, scoring one run.

Mudder earned the win for Tabor. The righty allowed three hits and zero runs over six and one-third innings, striking out six and walking six. Ryan Vitt took the loss for Vermillion. The starting pitcher went six innings, surrendering five runs (one earned) on five hits, striking out four and walking four. Caba appeared in relief for Tabor.

Post 183's Caba, the number eight hitter, led Tabor with two hits in three at bats. Ethan Wagner, Merkwan, and Caba each drove in one run for Post 183. Tabor turned one double play in the game.

Peterson, Grant Roerig, and Corbin Heckens each collected one hit for Vermillion Post 1. Matthew Roob paced Post 1 with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Vermillion turned one double play in the game.
