Jax Sykora With 5 Hits As Tyndall Defeats Parkston 16-2

Jax Sykora collected five hits in five at bats, as Tyndall 14U defeated Parkston 14u on Wednesday in Parkstown. Sykora singled in the first inning, singled in the seventh inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Tyndall got on the board in the top of the first inning after Sykora singled down the left field line, scored on a wild pitch, and Drake Slade walked, each scoring one run.
A double by Devonne Sesler extended the Tyndall’s lead to 5-1 in the top of the second inning.
Tyndall added one run in the third. Jamison Myers hit into a fielder's choice, making the score 6-1.
Tyndall scored six runs on four hits in the top of the seventh inning. Sesler singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Sykora singled, scoring one run, and Sutton Wagner grounded out, scoring two runs.
Cash Campbell earned the win. The starter surrendered three hits and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking none. K. Weisz took the loss for Parkston. The pitcher went three innings, surrendering six runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking three. H. Berg opened the game for Parkston. The righty surrendered one hit and three runs (two earned) over one inning, striking out two and walking two. Wagner and Miles Schenkel each threw shutout innings for Tyndall 14U in relief.
Tyndall tallied 13 hits in the game. Sesler, Sykora, Campbell, Wagner, and Jackson Runyon each drove in two runs. Easton DeFries led Tyndall 14U with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game. Sykora stole three bases. Tyndall 14U ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game.
