Sweetwater Area Ministries SAM is God's arm for many people in need. Food Pantry

We have several options for someone needing food or someone needing to stretch their food budget.

We serve a crisis box Mon - Fri 10-3. Our USDA Commodities Food Pantry for Monroe county residents is on Mon or Wed, 10-12 must have proof of household income, residency in Monroe County & ID. A second immediate option is; we have a crisis box Mon - Fri 10-3. This is a day or two worth of food to get you through until the next commodities day. Finally, every Friday we have a produce, bread & meat

give away to anyone in the community @ 10am

To register: The FIRST TIME you come, you must BRING 3 ITEMS:
1. Proof that your family is Eligible: (ONE of these)
Bank Statement or most recent check stub or SNAP - Agency letter stating that you receive benefits
Families First - Agency letter stating that your children are currently enrolled
SSI - Agency letter stating that you receive Supplemental Security Income
Public Housing - copy of Rental Agreement or current rent receipt
Total Income of EVERYONE in your house (must be below the USDA- specified level)

2. Proof of residence - evidence that your current address is in Monroe County

3. Current photo ID - state-issued or job-issued, with birthdate and expiration date
EACH YEAR, in September, you must bring updated/current info and RE-REGISTER

ONLY ONE HOUSEHOLD AT A SINGLE ADDRESS IS ELIGIBLE (ONLY ONE PERSON PER HOUSEHOLD MAY REGISTER)
