Child Care for Oregon

Join us! In order to achieve this vision, we must reimagine a system that values child care and the diverse professionals who provide care.

Our vision is to build a universal, publicly-funded child care system in Oregon that is equitable, affordable, culturally-relevant, inclusive, developmentally appropriate, safe and community-led. Child Care for Oregon is a coalition of nonprofit organizations, labor unions, community advocates, parents, caregivers and providers working to build a comprehensive child care system in Oregon. This new

system must be developed by and for the Black and Indigenous people, people of color, and the largely women providers and parents who know the most about child care.

This is terrifyingly true.

On August 20th, Multnomah County Commissioners will vote on whether to delay the Preschool for All tax increase for another TWO YEARS.

We cannot let this happen without hearing from the families and communities P4A serves. Your voice matters and Commissioners need to hear from you before they vote.

🎒Preschool for All needs YOUR voice! 🗣️

On August 20th, Multnomah County Commissioners will vote on whether to delay the Preschool for All tax increase for another two years, and we can’t let that happen.

Every child in our community deserves a strong start. P4A has changed lives for families across the county, and we need to make sure Commissioners hear directly from the people it’s impacted.
