Shout out to all our awesome band parents who participating in our 3rd annual Trunk or Treat! We loved all your themed vehicles, there were so many creative ideas and kids costumes ! Special thanks to Mrs. Tessereau for all the help, the Adank Family for always assisting with food service and making fun trophies, and Mrs. Lucy Conrad for manning the very busy Smores Station. Good morning band parents! We want to give all the parents and student volunteers a great big Thank You for your help at Fall Festival! It was a cold, wet day and yet everyone came to help with a smile on their face.

Our next fun family event for band students is our annual Trunk or Treat, which is this Saturday, October 24, 2026. Please use the following link to fill out a Google Form for the event, which contains more information. This will help us plan accordingly.

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO TYLER AND OLIVER!

We are SO proud of these talented musicians! Both Tyler and Oliver put in a tremendous amount of time and effort preparing their video auditions, and their hard work has paid off!

Just how BIG of an accomplishment is this? The Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) divides the entire state into just nine districts. Wolf Branch is part of District 6, which covers an enormous area of southern Illinois, stretching from Granite City to Carbondale and from Lebanon to Marion, including all the schools in between! That means Tyler and Oliver earned their places among talented young musicians from across this HUGE region! What an incredible honor this is!

The 2026 District Jazz Festival will take place at Belleville East High School on Saturday, November 7.

The 2026 District Concert Band Festival will take place at Southern Illinois University Carbondale on Saturday, November 21.

Congratulations again, Tyler and Oliver! We can’t wait to see you represent Wolf Branch! We are incredibly proud of you both!

Fall Festival Help Needed

Happy Friday Band Parents ! Next Friday, October 16th, is our annual Fall Festival, which will take place at the Middle School this year. We are in need of candy, soda, and/or chips donation for our Mr. and Mrs. Pockets booth so if you are out shopping this weekend, please grab one of those items because every player is a winner at our booth! You can drop off your labeled donations at either school campus. If you'd rather contribute by donating money instead, we have a new Zelle account, which I am linking below.

Additionally, we need assistance running the booth. If you previously tried to sign up and noticed the slots were full, there was a mistake which only allowed 2 sign ups at the time. We have corrected it so there are plenty of 30 minutes slots open! Please click on the link below to sign up.

Additionally, we need your help for our first event, the Mr and Mrs Pockets game at the WB Fall Festival. It will take place on October 16th from 4-7 pm. You can sign up for a timeslot to set up, tear down, or help run the game for just 30 minutes. Or, a donation of candy, chips, soda or water would be greatly appreciated.

Hello band parents! Our first Double Good fundraiser of the year runs from August 27th through August 31st. For those who don’t know, Double Good is award-winning popcorn and students earn 50% of every sale. You set up an online store, send the link to your family and friends, they choose what they would like and their popcorn is shipped directly to them.

It’s an easy way to raise money for our field trips to Six Flags and the Cardinals game next year.

Attention all parents of a fabulous band student or students !!! Please mark your calendars for our next Band Booster meeting, August 31, 2026 at 7pm in the Middle School Library. We would love to meet you and discuss our upcoming events for the new school year. This meeting is especially helpful if you are a new parent to the band program or to the school. We are happy to answer your questions and show you what we do to support your children in our wonderful band program led by Mrs. Tessereau.
