Kearsarge Lodge #217 Noble Grand Cabot and Treasurer Joe and his wife Inez attended the Ribbon Cutting ceremony today and dedication of the "new" high security entrance to the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore. Kearsarge Lodge #217 is dedicated to help support the JCCNS with their continued safety and security efforts to make the campus/building "welcoming and safe for all" who use the Community Center ("The Hill").

Kearsarge Lodge "PROUDLY SUPPORTS" Our Local Community First Responders. At last nights meeting were were visited by Salem & Swampscott Police Officers and K-9 units and Swampscott Fire Department Fire Fighters and their Comfort Dog Ryan. Kearsarge Lodge is happy to assist these units with donations to assist with veterinary bills and the cost of food and other items our K-9 community partners require to serve us all. Thanks to all our local community First Responders and K-9 units we appreciate all you do!

On January 27th, we held our annual dinner meeting. This year we held our meeting at the Wardhurst Restaurant in Peabody (thanks to Susan for recommending this venue!). We were in the function room which worked out very well for the meeting and the wait staff was amazing as was our food. We all had a great night in F.L. & T.

At tonight's meeting Kearsarge Lodge members voted to lend our assistance to two important causes:

1. Our Lodge voted to donate funds to assist this wonderful man in Marblehead, Nikolay, who a few of our lodge members know personally. Nikolay lost his mother, his primary care giver the other day in a tragic accident. Nikolay's world has now forever changed. We are hopeful that our assistance provides some help for Nikolay. 🙏 God bless this special man! 🙏

2. Our Lodge voted to pledge funds to support the "Save the Glover" Committee and by doing so we affirm that we actively support their efforts to save General John Glover farmhouse which is of significant historic value to the North Shore and the preservation efforts are of utmost importance!

We pledge the funds "in-honor of our past member, Glover "Peter" B. Preble, Secretary, PG, GM, DDGM" and a descendent of General John Glover!

REMINDER: Our first regular meeting of the new year is Tuesday, Jan 13, tomorrow night! 🙂

Come on down and let's start off 2026 doing good! Speaking of doing good in the community! We have a presentation from the "Save the Glover" Committee https://www.savetheglover.org folks before dinner (see the link for information on the preservation efforts).

"Save the Glover" (General John Glover's) Farmhouse is an important historical preservation project in town (on the Marblehead, Swampscott, Salem town line) that has ties to past members of our lodge, most recently Glover "Peter" B. Preble our long-time Kearsarge Lodge secretary and PG, and MA GL DDGM, GM. Glover is a descendant of General Glover!

Lastly, as much as we'd love to see everyone present for this first night of fellowship in the new year please, stay home if you're not feeling well or sick. 😷

WOW 👍❤️, CHECK IT OUT!! WOW!! Great work by the Wyoma Lions Club (several of our members are also Lions). Look at the incredible impact the Wyoma Lions Club made in bringing Christmas to those residing in homeless shelters this holiday season. Amazing! 🙏🎅
