Big THANK YOU Shout Out to All who made our Plant Sale on Saturday a success - our customers especially, our vendors and other partners, those who helped “spread the word”, our wonderful donors, our members who worked so diligently to deliver all the plants and otherwise make it all happen. If I missed anyone, thank you, too!

Join us on Saturday, 5/16 at the Sutton Town Common as we support our friends at the Sutton Garden Club Annual Plant Sale. Our team will be selling Sutton Ag Trust Hats and "Plop Pots." You also have the chance to win a FREE yard of compost with your purchase!

What is a Plop Pot? Well, it is a small container of compost generated by cows right here in Sutton. Along with it comes a package of seeds also grown and harvested right here in town. Your purchase helps us preserve and protect the agricultural resources and traditions we cherish.

Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

SGC has about 350 plants ready for our Sale Saturday, 10 - 12Noon “on the Common”. These are well-loved plants that Garden Club members have dug out of their gardens, frequently have divided and potted up for the Sale. Each year the offering varies, depending on what needs dividing, what we have more than enough of to share. We feel we have a nice variety to offer our customers this year - at price’s definitely below what you’ll find in stores. We have many great items available in our Silent Auction - do not be shy about bidding - “high and often” as they say. This day is our big fundraiser of the year! We also have some local vendors with wonderful offerings to tempt us all. SGC members are customers, too.
And, if you love gardening or just want to give it a try, consider visiting our Membership Table and joining SGC. Our new program year just started in April and we have various summer activities planned as well as all our educational programs for the “school year”. We find we learn a lot about gardening and related topics at these meetings.
Last but not least, Saturday is forecast to be SUNNY and WARM, the start of a week of warm weather. Everything garden will be bursting out to really get the season underway.

Our Annual Plant Sale is “around the corner” on SATURDAY, MAY 16, 10am - Noon on the Common, 3 Uxbridge Road, Sutton.
We are busy digging up and dividing perennials for the Sale and all our usual related offerings will be there - find some great stuff at our Silent Auction and the tables of garden/gift items offered by SGC Members and local businesses.
Proceeds from our Plant Sale fund our Community efforts, including maintenance of the Bandstand gardens. Right now, our Bandstand gardens are showing off beautiful spring tulips. See also our SGC website,

Hooray!…

We are pleased to announce that the Garden Club of America (GCA) has announced the recipients of its 2026 national medals, the highest honor bestowed upon individuals and organizations by the GCA for distinguished achievements in areas related to its purpose.

Native Plant Trust’s own Director of Horticulture Uli Lorimer is among the honorees, being awarded the Distinguished Service Medal for his dedication to the conservation of native plant species and the restoration of native plant communities. With a long-standing tradition of celebrating extraordinary efforts to protect and beautify the planet, The Garden Club of America will present the medals at its 113th annual meeting in April 2026 in New York City. Congratulations Uli!
