Our Club President (and County Ambassador) met with the City of Yuba City Council to accept a proclamation acknowledging National 4-H Week!

What a busy week this has been for her getting the word out there about all of the amazing things our program has to offer the youth in our community. Well done!

Members met with Lincoln School Leadership Club and did a presentation on leadership and how 4-H provides leadership opportunities to youth.

Thank you to the Sutter County Board of Supervisors for issuing a proclamation acknowledging National 4-H Week.

Well done to our County Ambassadors for representing 4-H to accept the proclamation.

4-H gives young people opportunities to learn, lead and grow through hands-on experiences that build confidence, leadership skills and a sense of responsibility to their communities.

In Sutter County, 4-H connects youth with projects and programs in agriculture, science, STEM, gardening, cooking, civic engagement and more. Through community clubs, in-school programs and after-school activities, young people gain skills and experiences that can help prepare them for success well beyond their time in 4-H.

The Sutter County Board of Supervisors recently presented a proclamation to members of Sutter County 4-H, recognizing October 4-10 as National 4-H Week and celebrating the organization’s continued impact on local youth and our community.

Yesterday some of our members along with a member from Barry 4-H represented the county at Yuba-Sutter Farm Day. They were able to show students from local schools chickens, rabbits, chicks, and egg candling. This is a great event in our area to expose students to local agriculture.

Today our County Ambassadors (and also Sutter Buttes 4-H members) accepted a proclamation from the Yuba County Board of Supervisors acknowledging October 4th-10th as National 4-H week.
