We are an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting Ford's Pond Community Park. How can you help?

Since 2014, the Friends have raised over $4 million for Ford's Pond Community Park improvements. Working in a partnership with the City of Sutherlin, our volunteers maintain trails, improve habitats, and bring free activities to Ford's Pond Community Park. Visit our website for information about the park, our work, volunteering, and donating.

Volunteer at the upcoming Thrive Umpqua Community 5K!

We’re looking for a few more helping hands to make the morning a success. Volunteers can help with set-up, the registration table, tear-down, and generally create a fun, welcoming morning full of movement and community spirit!

We’ll close the sign-up form once we’ve reached the number of volunteers needed!

Come out and see the blooming swamp beggar ticks (Bidens cernua)! This beauty is a native annual plant that grows along the edge of Ford's Pond.

Who says otters should get all the attention? We’re cute and adorable and our breath doesn’t reek of fish. Thanks Joe and Higgins for the 🦫 video.

Have you seen the otters playing in Ford's Pond lately? Tag us in your video if you have and we will share them! This super cute clip is from Abigail...thanks!!

The Friends thank our sponsor, Wicks Emmett, LLP, Certified Public Accountants. Their support allows us to focus on the FUN stuff like hosting free Saturday yoga classes and the Library of Fun toys. We ❤️ seeing everyone on the lawn!🧘🏻‍♀️🏓🤸🏾‍♂️🥏
